I'm a woman and I'm playing Stellar Blade BECAUSE of the character and her outfits. It is 100% part of the fantasy for me. Hell no I can't kill huge monsters in high heels IRL, but a video game can give me that fantasy. I loved it when she naturally pointed out how there's male characters with bulging muscles busting out of their shirts. That's the very first thing that came to mind when I first heard of this 'controversy' lol. Years and years of growing up and watching cartoons like GI Joe and playing games like God of War as Kratos in peak male physicality... not a single person gave two fks about a little boy unaliving himself for not getting that kind of body. Honestly the thought of it kinda pisses me off. We have game devs making female protagonist fugly as hell to avoid these 'unrealistic body standards' but not a damn thing has been said, throughout my years of gaming, when it comes to the huge bulking men protagonists in video games making little boys self conscious or creating unrealistic body standards about what a 'real man' is supposed to be for women who also play video games. Perfect example of only caring about equality when it's convenient. It's only a worry when the possibility of women are affected.

And it shows the complaints of certain groups about the games characters are result of these peoples personal and mental problems. I think looking at a human with perfect proportions breaks the denial of some people about the need to improve themselves. In my country the obesity index is lower than in the US and people with similar body types compared to the games character models are not unusual at all.

Great video and conversation between you two. The main problem in today society(US) is there’s a mental health problem. The people that get offended by anything are the same ones, that scream the loudest online and project their own insecurities onto others. Like she said in the video. People that can’t differentiate from reality and fantasy(fiction) *have* a mental problem, period. They’ll *constantly* compare themselves to fantasy characters and people they see online. They *think,* they’ll need to look like that, even though that’s not true at all. It’s OK not to look like a supermodel 24/7. Being skinny like that(model) isn’t ideal for your body. Models have to be on a very strict diet to maintain their figure. They’ll never tell you about that! Only on what you see irl. It’s OK to be healthy and not super fit in such a manner. Nothing wrong with that, but once you start “trying” to look a certain way because you saw someone online/movie/game in such a manner. That’s when you’re just going to hurt yourself or do unnecessary modifications to your own body, just to “fit” that certain image. Thats why you see soooo many people getting BBL’s, boob jobs, fake long nails, fake hair, fake eye lashes, and wearing un-modest clothes(aka hoe like) out in public(because they seen some wear it and think they need to as well).

I was sold the mint I saw the gameplay of this game and this was before it got popular. To me the most important thing is how the gameplay is, It don`t matter if the character looks good, if I don`t like the gameplay I won`t get the game but with Steller Blade I like it and the character looking good is just a bonus. It`s a mix of hack & slash and a souls-like, normally I don`t like sl due to the slow boring combat but with Steller Blade has sl traits but it has H&S elements in it also, it being flashy, having QTE`s, finisher prompts and most importantly multiple combos. I hope this wins game of the year so the developers will start making games as good as Stellar Blade. BTW have you looked up the game called Yasuke: A Lost Descendant? if not I recommend that you look it up, I think you will like it.

Now, when you'll very much likely play the full game on release, be ready to be overwhelmed and amazed without mentioning the enormous fun factor to achieve. Check the few breakdowns below: 1. Eve has gone all Mobile Suit Gundam with the Mech. 3. Eve is beauty and agile, with her Girl Power and amazing true strength. Such elegance in her varied outfits. 4. Eve is Battle Angel Alita. She is the next gen Bayonetta. 5. Eve to battle Tachy as a boss as she mutates into a Naytiba after being touched and cut by the alien's blade. 6. Music 7. Her friend the Hardcore Anime Waifu gets lost in the first half of the Demo...but maybe she will return later in the game. The interesting thing about the controversy surrounding this game (as well as many other similar controversies) is that it was a handful of people complaining. People picked up on the complaints and it snowballed from there. There wasn't that much genuine outrage. Most of the people complaining were simply "jumping on the bandwagon" and probably wouldn't have complained about it had they discovered the game naturally. People just need a cause these days...

I don’t know why women do that whole “unrealistic body features” argument. I once was watching a Korean show with my brother and cousins and it’s called “Bloodhounds” (highly recommend it). The lead protagonists are two skinny boxers who ended up getting super jacked to be able to fight stronger opponents. I’ve never heard a “that’s unrealistic” from them but the whole time they’re like “Yo! Let’s get their workout routine and get jacked too.” It’s been over 6 months and they’ve become a bunch of gym dudes. Moral of my boring comment is that the mindset needs to change. Men are out here seeing great looking men and go “I bet I can be like that too” and go for it while all I see on the internet is women complaining that the body proportions are “unrealistic.” Also, Eve’s character design was inspired by a South Korean model and not some guy’s fantasy girl.
