People seem to do that fairly often in this lobby, for whatever reason. I think it may be to get certain tasks (storage, death valley node, etc) done before kill cooldown is up (when the person doing it is crew, at least).

I do that too actually! I think the start is a great oppurtunity to get risky tasks done early. And Keys/Course is pretty safe mid round, so I keep them for later when crossing left to right or at the very end.
