That's the first OTF I've ever seen that I would carry. Looks like it would be a great work knife and the blade profile isn't scary. Also looks like it would be a great EDC.

Heretic's OTF Lube, which dries quite well, leaving a practically invisible film of proprietary herbs & spices, is my favorite thing to keep blades nice and snickty. My personal experience (with ~15 OTFs, from MT, Heretic, Benchmade, Lightning, SOG, and Boker) puts it ahead of Rem-Oil, as well as all other teflon-, moly-, and graphite-based dry lubes that I've tried, and WD-40, too. WD-40 surprised me, actually - it's a solid performer in most OTFs, in my experience... though using it to wash out your knife, the way Microtech recommends using Rem-Oil, will also wash out the white lithium grease Microtech slathers on their mainsprings. After a flush or two, even the nicest $7K Marfione Custom will develop that cheap "twang" sound, when deploying/retracting the blade. I believe I had that happen with the Rem-Oil, as well; I'm honestly not 100% sure if I'm remembering that or imagining it, but it'd make sense if it washed out the white lithium grease just like almost any other spray lube would do. Partly because of that, but mostly because I enjoy it, I actually disassemble, clean, and lube all my OTFs. I like to use white lithium grease and moly grease, in addition to the couple drops of Heretic's 'Lube on the blade track. After a good cleaning, the white grease goes in & on the mainspring(s), and on the frame where the spring sits against it, keeping it from ringing. That's the big trick; it's why cheap OTFs sound cheap, and how expensive ones don't. Among my knives, it's what keeps every OTF - from the $35 Lightnings, and the trio of ~$100 Boker Lhotaks, to the $400+ Troodon, Pentagon, Autocrat, and midtech Manticore S - all, 100% "twang"-free, with no creaks or squeaks from the spring when operating slide, either. Just snappin' and thwackin' with authority, like any off-the-shelf new MT. The moly grease, I hear, has a propensity for embedding into/attaching to the metal surfaces it's applied to, with use, eventually forming a protective, lubricating layer of molybdenum. It keeps performing, even if the grease is pushed or wiped away, kind of like those infomercial motor oil additives claim to do, where they drain the oil from a running engine to demo the additive. I use just a little moly grease on almost every (non-blade) point of moving contact, particularly where the positioning frame★ slides along the machined tracks in the chassis. Heretic OTF Lube is ~$12-$15, for a wee 1oz/28ml squeeze bottle. After 2+ years using it in all of my OTFs, I've used _maybe_ half the bottle, even with the thirsty SOG, which likes more frequent application - the blade lockup mechanism works best when actually wet with a light lubricant, or at least never going too long between fresh drops of that blade juice. Thoroughly tried and tested, in my book, I recommend everyone with OTFs at least try it out. ★at least that's what the OTF patent I found calls it - I'm referring to the main moving (non-blade part); the piece the mainspring sits on, which the slide button is directly connected to
