If I was pedantic I’d say that Dyson and Hoover are brand names so you can’t have a Dyson Hoover….but luckily I’m not!

Heya Tom, great vid mate. Love your idea on the testing station. It's always a good idea to test your games before shipping them out. If I may be askin in which town do you stay?

Great video 👍 I wish I can find items on Facebook like that lol, if you are looking to get a disc cleaner, the hybrid is a good one that is the one I use. I don't recommend getting the jfj easy pro as I found that it made the discs worse and also damaged them 😔
@TOMS_TAT11 ай бұрын
Yea I wont be getting a JFJ ive heard they are rubbish. The one I wanted was about £1700 new cant remember exactly what one it was but i've got a lot of saving to do lol

It would be more useful to discuss your profits in terms of bottom line rather than mentioning profit before fees. I'm guessing you are promoting fairly high in and around the 10 per cent zone so with VAT added it will put you I'd say at around the 28 per cent eBay selling fees zone. If you were to look at solds minus all fees, postage, and cost of goods it will give you a more accurate idea of where you are at such as actual bottom line profit plus the cost of the item back to then reinvest in new stock.
@TOMS_TAT11 ай бұрын
I promote my listing by 2% not 10%. When filming I'm doing it on the spot so I'm unable to work out exact profit off the top of my head. I say "before fees" so people know that's not the exact profit.

Superb video! Really looking forward to seeing your gamestation. One thing - how on earth do you wind up your wires so neatly? Could you do a quick tutorial?
@TOMS_TAT11 ай бұрын
Yes I can explain how I do that in a future video! I just wrap it around either my hand or a dvd/psp game case.

I know! Buying from auction is great because when you buy boxes of stuff because you want one item you end up looking the rest up and you learn loads about what stuff is worth on items you would never normally pick up!

Absolutely buzzing for you on the profit you are making from the auction bits. Great video and looking forward to seeing the updates to your workspace 🤙🏼

Great vid Tom. When selling on eBay what are your thoughts on the promoted listing option? If you list items on consecutive days does that give the same results ?
@WEARECHANGEBEDS11 ай бұрын
I list minimum of 10 items every day and promote them all by 2%. Makes a big difference.
@carsgonewrong74611 ай бұрын
To be honest most of the time you don't need to promote unless there is a poor sell through rate. I normally leave it a week after listing then assess the views and my price to see if I should promote
@TOMS_TAT11 ай бұрын
@@carsgonewrong746 I've found that you can actually sell things for a higher price with promoted listings too. Not everyone uses the "lowest first" filter. Some just go for the first ones they see which will be the promoted ones. That pokemon fire red I sold, I made it the highest priced one on ebay and sold it straight away even though there was loads way cheaper than mine. I'm pretty sure thats because it was promoted to the top of the results.

Love the videos but there just isn’t enough of them! Inspired me to document my own journey along with Jon luc. Got a couple vids up myself now. Fingers crossed I can get to full time myself.

Brilliant video again Tom. Congrats on all the sales. Your plans for the testing station sound really good. Though maybe you should keep an extra Dreamcast controller in case someone fancies challenging you to a game of Sega Rally. 😀

Yea good shout I might keep 2 controller for each console!

Use a kitchen worktop instead of door. Usually 60cm deep.
@TOMS_TAT11 ай бұрын
Fire doors are cheaper and you can get them 80cm deep which would give me a bigger workspace. Thanks for the suggestion though!
