While I enjoyed this authors previous work in I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, I think I liked this one even better. It was a bit less predictable, but still very simple (in a good way). Also you've got the right voice for this sort of thing.

I have yet to read I Want To Eat Your Pancreas but I really want to, I was actually surprised to find that it was the same author, but overall I enjoyed this story so much that I think I’ll follow the author closet for a while ❤️

@@MeasuredTailor I thought the part where you slowly figure out the mysterious friends are actually a possible future iteration of the main character was the best part, and also I sometimes myself even as a highschool student to figure out what my definition of what being 'happy' is so to have a well thought out story on that theme was awesome

Honestly i always imagined the cat as some sort of dream guide or a representation of her loneliness and abandon, black cats being often given to shelters and left to fend for themselves due to being bad luck charms
