I got tanker endorsement as well! i had to walk in there and take 6 freaking tests Car/Motorcycle/Gen knowledge/air brakes/combo/tanks. sheesh! in route to CDL school called the guy second i walked out of the dmv! thanks for all your hard work Dave and all the great content helped push me forward!

@@headeyes3622 it depends on the dispatcher and the company. Either say you are looking at your hours and think you might not make it. Or ask them if they know how many hours you have left. If i want to get home time i usually ask before i get low on hours.

I started watching your channel like 3 or 4 months ago and watching you made me wanna go from being a amazon delivery driver to a truck driver got my cdl and im currently 1 and a half weeks in with my trainer somewhere in virginia.Loving it so far ive seen more states in this week then my entire life only draw back ive found is being away from my girl and the kids. Love your vids Dave. Always interesting content. I do have the say though, I watch these on a 55 inch tv and the rapid fire side to side looks you do into your mirrors during backing are often the source of a little motion sickness for me. I wonder if I am the only one. As a CDL holder myself, I understand the necessity of the side to side mirror checks, but I just wish the backing parts were shown from the outside mounted cameras. Not a criticism, just food for thought. Stay safe and keep on trucking...

I’m a NW regional 8 axle Heavy haul flatbed driver - talk about running around with your head cut off lol my ELD has been looked at several times and they tell me it’s fixed I get miles away and it gives me this message - it tells me all the time I’m lost in the black hole. Two stones with one bird 🦅 Homedepot has pull through buildings, it’s TIIIIGHT!! Thought about doing flatbed vids ;) Stay up homie

Pro tip… Whenever dispatch tells you that a customer has overnight parking, use Google reviews from other truck drivers to verify that. Particularly when it’s a life or death situation. I’ve been led astray more than once.

Nothing wrong with being a company driver. Yeah might not make as much money as owner operator but also don’t have the bs to deal with either. Me and my ole lady run one trip from North Carolina to LA Cali a week, home every weekend and bring home $2000 a week each. Plenty of money for us and no owner opp bs involved

As far as I know and have heard, all 48 states except California. I don’t think any other countries, just the U.S., maybe Canada under some circumstances but call a recruiter to be sure.

If you want a 34 you tell them that's what you are doing. You worked 70 hours that week 34 is there for you to get rest. All companies push you to run recap hours but you are the captain of the ship.
