As a genuine hoarder, I also don't like it when people throw that label around to people like yourself who just enjoy having lots of pretty things in their spaces. If you are keeping up with cleaning, can throw things away (or give away), have space to store things, and can use all your spaces for the purposes they were intended to be used for, then you are not a hoarder. You just like a lot of things and are a collector of interesting things. You go girl. 😊

I agree with you about visiting vintage shops. I have a booth at the Blue Hydrangea in Brenham, Texas and we all sell wonderful vintage items at reasonable prices. I’m selling my 50 year vintage and antique collections to make my son happy. He’s terrified he’ll be inheriting all of these things😊.

The little pink and blue pots are pansy rings. They come in lots of sizes. Some of these type are patented. Great for short stemmed flowers. Others are in a circle and a candle could go in the middle.

Always love when you go to this Haupt Market! Even if you don’t actually “antique “ per say nothing like going to learn. I went to Round Top Antique back more than 25 years ago if nothing else than to see other type of Antiques and to learn. Could not afford the Antiques but then you stop in the pasture sale on side of the road and find the good bargain stuff 😇💖

The wooden butterfly that was made out of wood strips would be easy to make and so cute in your garden or on your deck. That dustpan was adorable!! So glad that you picked up the grater.

I had so much fun with you on this outing! I kept yelling at you to go back!!!! You missed this or that! LOL!!! I really liked that last store. I may enter for the book, but I have never been lucky enough to win anything hardly.....maybe once or twice...and I am 68!! LOL The timing would be so good though. Our 52th anniversary is on the 31st of May. We have had to use the AC for about 4 weeks now down here in south MS.....and you got sleet! What an awesome place. I loved the nests under glass. I have a large cloche that is hard to decorate with, but I bought it because it had a glass bird on the top, I loved the butterfly with wooden colored sticks. The grater you bought is great. It’s made by Royal Sealy, called Heritage. I have a large collection of the same pattern. Some of them belonged to my husbands grandmother. I have to buy every piece I find.

The cute little nut grinder is like one I have. Use to use all the time. It is from the 1960’s. Your transfer ware flower pot from Japan, I happen to have it too. But mine is blue instead of red. Nice haul and a fun day for you.

I really enjoyed this video. I agree that vintage/antique shops provide a more satisfying experience now. There are very few thrift stores near me, and they have minimal selection and high prices. There are about 5 vintage shops within 20 miles where I find wonderful items and will pay their prices much of the time. And thank you for your comment on avoiding use of the H-word. It is used inappropriately most of the time.

I have 10 of the nut grinders . I started collecting them many years ago. I think I am finished 🤔 I think 🥹!!!!!! My husband was going through the home he was raised in and he found me six more old irons that I love . I use them in my kitchen and laundry room His mom collected a lot of things. I am so blessed. I am so glad my girls like old things being that I am 80 now. 😉 Enjoy 🥰

I also have one with a snowman painted on it. The rest have different designs on them. Good luck on your hunt. Most of mine came from thrift stores.
