I had 2 white bass. I caught a 28" Channel Catfish that stole my head. Wasn't sad at all. Caught 2 more on body sections. Put, the other head on & caught a 30" Channel Catfish. 💥

And you called that last one a fun sizer....? Anything over 12lb is "fun-size" for me ! I went bank fishing this afternoon and didn't get a NIBBLE ! I slung chicken, some big shad heads, skipjack (chunks and heads), and even spit on the hook ! I was on the upper side of Wilson Dam, and nothing worked. Good to see you got a few ! 😁👍

I feel you about the wind. We finally had a calm day without crazy wind so I made the most of it after work today. I'm in a plain ol' paddle power kayak, so once you get over a certain amount of wind, it gets rough if you want to fish. But there is a downside to no wind... Bugs. So. Many. Bugs. It was good though. I probably got a little extra protein in me.

You have been fishing with the SHIMANO TEK600HGA for a while now can you give a comparison to the Diawa Seagates you were using. The plus and minus you notice for the way you fish and there advantages for you.

The seagates are the better value and are better for bank fishing because they have 48” retrieve per handle turn and you can cast longer distance without a levelwind. The Shimano is the better quality reel and is more suited for everything I do except bank fishing.
