Good video, interesting tactics, please think of fish welfare and use an unhooking mat for all carp 🙂 Carp are easily damaged, usually they do it to themselves. Thrashing around on a hard surface they can damage their lungs, a few hours later, that fish is no more because of the damage. I realise you aren't i the UK, but over here all carp/specimen anglers are required to use an unhooking mat, even a pillow inside a couple of plastic bin bags works :)

Carp are not protected species in the USA . It is considered an invasive species here.

I understood that the Asian Carp was the invasive species. The Common, Mirror, Grass and King Carp are all starting to be fished for properly in the States. Just because one strain isn't protected, which I understand about the Asian Carp, doesn't mean you should treat the rest the same, being nice humans is what it's about 👍🏻
