Yet another cringe take from another of Soda’s little minions. “There was never supposed to be a chance he could have kept his character”, yet Soda gave him the chance to keep his character by surviving in the arena. Re-watch the stream and you’ll see Soda say words to the effect of; “we don’t know if he will die or if he will survive”, because chat were crying that he would probably survive and it’s not fair. So, Soda, being the executioner, judge and jury, SENT IN a level 60 to kill him (he didn’t just go in on his own free will). It ruined what was a really really funny and cool bit of content. I don’t even care about the guy who was killed, it’s a matter of the fact Soda claimed he had a chance, which he didn’t cuz he knew he was gonna send in the turbo-virgin to finish him.

So the only options were. 1: Kill the character because the guy cheated. 2: KIck the guy out of the guild for cheating. 3: Give the guy a 1% chance at living in a spot where ANYONE ON THE SERVER can attack him. Who gives a fuck if its someone's hours spent. He signed up for the guild, he knew the rules, and he broke them. His ass was gas regardless. Summits take on this is stupid. It doesn't matter if its a veteran or a casual. You break the rules, your killing your character to stay in the guild or your being kicked. Period.
@jacobsmith1544
@jacobsmith1544 2 ай бұрын
There was another option you're missing: •Delete all gold, gear, and take a cowards debuff He decided to take your 3rd quoted option due to the assumption of sodapoppins words meaning "anyone on the server" = not in the guild. Also, he was originally going to take the 4th option above, but the Mizkif wanted content, and it didn't seem like a guild execution at first. But as the event went on, Sequisha's realized he was put into the ring for anyone in the guild (he was originally just going to sprint to the arena before anyone on the server could get there). Anyways, Summit and Sequisha originally had false hope that the punishment wouldn't mean 1st recruiting everyone in the server first, then, throw the cheater in for execution. Anyways, your take on this is wrong because he was originally given a chance to redeem himself, but the guild squashed that slim chance and made it into guild content/execution. This is why people on the outside are mad at the end result because their judicial "trial" was rigged. Sequisha was too busy being used for content to realize he was lied to (even though there was no contract & the rules were evolving as he was walking there). Two wrongs don't make a right. Period.
@orchidmtg5186

dude definitely tried to get around the rules. im intrigued you think the only fitting punishment is character death/gkick. i was thinking it would be pretty fitting to lose all of his gold and gear and force him to go naked, probably sets him back about 10+ hours. it also creates a lot less drama and i think still sends a message that the punishment will be massive even for small offenses. im not trying to come off as sarcastic either im just actually curious why those options are the only ones

The rule was primarily created to stop viewers from giving these streamers gold and items and enchants that twink them out. The guy was using the AH as a bank cause he was running out of space. Sure, by the letter off the law he broke the rules. But he didn't violate the spirit of the rule. Murder is illegal, but if you kill someone in self defense you will get acquitted or have a lesser charge and the court will show sympathy. This was a good decision by Soda IMO. the facts have to be laid out here -Sequisha cheated. -Sequisha isnt a casual and can recoup the “60 hours” of his lost progress. -Everyone is aware that they will lose their character progress if they die in the Gurubashi Arena, thats why anyone close to his level is apprehensive about dueling him to the death there. -Zeroji was encouraged by his fellow trolls to finish Sequisha off as no one close to his level wants to finish him. -Sardaco is playing more into the racism here and he has privately messaged Zeroji about the RP troll hate. Sardaco only wants to instigate Guild racism and not single out one person. honestly Summit’s though process here is kinda (???). i feel like he lacked some critical information and just doubled down on whatever he feels

Soda, this is what you should tell the guy. The punishment was NOT "Trial by combat". The punishment was literally "The server gets to decide". It did not say "The level 30-40s will decide the faith of the player". A lvl 60 should have ALL right to kill him. Why? Because he leveled to lvl 60 without cheats, and If that would have been me, I would totally jump in and kill him. Because, it takes away from all the work that all the others are doing. If ONE player thought "no, that is not okay in this guild, he needs to die" - that player have ALL right to jump in and deal justice. "The server gets to decide" was the first thing you said. It makes NO sense that his cheating would result in another player, at the same level risk their character. No sense at all, what kind of punishment is that? Killing a less skilled player, and then you are free to go? No. Soda even said, when hearing about the idea "Oh so the higher levels player on the server decides his faith? I love it". This is not a hard topic, what the hell.

But I also don't understand why Summit is this angry at him and is saying stuff like "how could you take 60 hours away from him like that" and in the same breathe say "I'm cool with the punishment." Clearly he isn't cool with the punishment. The dude purposely cheated, and honestly Soda handed him the easiest way out of both being removed from the event and a lot of the hate he would have gotten from being removed or even if he just simply had to kill his character. At that point who cares what happened, he got off the easiest way possible. It honestly might have ended worse for him with him living from it, cause then you'd get the chatters who think its bullshit that he cheated and got away with it. I'd say the only thing that was disappointing from having a 60 kill him was it ended the content a bit anti-climatically rather than him fighting for his life and eventually getting overwhelmed. But again its better for his character to have died so people can say justice was served and we can move on from it. The pros to Zeroji killing him is there isn't risk to other people's characters involved. Cause that's what Summit is suggesting even if he doesn't realize it, potentially wiping away other people's precious progress.

Zeroji agreed to do it not out of peer pressure but because it could be good content, his only worry was the undead raid killing him. The peer pressure argument summit makes is pointless which is why soda goes “PeEr PReSSurE?!” 😂 cuz it very clearly isn’t that, I was simply saying it’s hilarious in summit’s(a grown ass 35+ year old man) head the person who got peer pressured is to blame, and regardless of freedom of choice, why be mad at that guy and not the people chanting around him to do it at the same time? @@dumbitc11 oh for sure, if he went the next day and ranted about how much he dislikes the guy, that’s just taking it wayyy too personal. Ok I was confused by the constructive criticism part, but the feeling justified reaction makes more sense than what you said before. You can definitely dislike/like someone before you know them, first impressions be like that. I can see a guy slapping his wife around, and decide then “that guy, I see his actions, and I know I don’t like him”. Now, there could be numerous reasons for that action, but the first impression remains. Summits first impression of this guy at level 60 kill a level 30 who had some awesome fights prior and just ended it instantly. Summit thought it would be better content and fairness to just keep letting people challenge the cheater. But the 60 is almost like a giant bonk to end it with no retaliation, almost makes the kills prior seem pointless since the result is the same. So, he equated the 60 as someone who is sweaty and not respecting someone who is maybe not as sweaty of a gamer. This is where I disagree with summit. If the cheater wanted a respectful outcome, perhaps he should have been someone to be respected and not cheat. I can see Summits point of view, but I think it falls apart when it comes down to the fact the guy cheated and his characters future was no longer in his hands, but the level 60’s who was peer pressured into doing it. If the guy didn’t cheat and the 60 did that, I think Summits point would make more sense, but fair trial was no longer an option when the guy cheated. Time played, fairness, and respect flew out the window when he clicked that disable add on button. (Over generalization of course)

"So I'm not allowed to dislike the guy" is a motte and bailey fallacy, and the "60 hours" argument is nonsense for a number of reasons. It's not like Sequisha lost those hours to the void. He got huge content and experience out of those hours Sequisha's punishment (death) was lenient. He willfully and flagrantly cheated. A gkick would have been fair That said, I don't love how Zeroji randomly ran down and killed the 37 warrior and 34 warlock who fought Sequisha, while they were running away

All the drama could have been avoided by choosing a different punishment. When the person complaining about drama (Soda) is the same person who pushed it in that direction don't really have the moral high ground to complain when it was their choices that caused it.

8:48 The opinion isn't the problem here, the problem is the fact that Summit publicly started talking shit and sent hate to Zeroji even though he has a larger following. On the matter of Sequisha cheating: Soda gave him a chance by sending him to the arena instead of deleting the character outright. What I do wonder is if Summit would react the same if it wasn't Zeroji who deleted Sequisha's character and it was Soda instead. I can only assume things here because it looks like Summit has something personal against Zeroji because Summit's arguments don't make any sense. It's almost like Summit can only see one side of things and are dead-set that Zeroji is the problem because... why???

Tbh 13:55 is just hypocritical. Saquesha believes he can fight for 10 minutes to survive. But if it's rigged for him to lose why would he even accept it? I agree with summit the punishment was amazing. What wasn't amazing is watching a lvl 60 2 hit. It was fun watching everyone try to 4v1 etc.

yeah it wasn't amazing but that doesn't mean Zeroji deserves to get shit on by other streamers for it and have nonstop chat hoppers insulting his person because of dumbasses like Summit taking things too seriously. Soda admitted it could've been better content. It's obviously not fun to see a 60 hop in and end the scene compared to sequisha dying to a bunch of lower leveled people. The reason Summit is being a dipshit here is because his logic makes zero sense. "60 hours" were going to be gone regardless. He cheated. It was this or a toon deletion. "Am I allowed to not like someone?!" when the issue is him constantly shitting on Zeroji as a person, and ignoring that it was a group decision because "oh so I just have to like him because he got peer pressured into it huh?" He's being a stubborn jackass about it and this shit made me unfollow him after watching him (not super actively) since like 2013-2014. It's cringe, manchild behavior to be a drama stirrer just because something didn't play out how you wished it did.
@MrSneakyyGaming
@MrSneakyyGaming 2 ай бұрын
@sere971 yeah your ignoring the issue summit brings up. You argue it's a group decision but no one made Zeroji do anything apart from how own two hands and actions. He could of been the champion of the trolls and "shown them a better way mon" in RP terms. It's already done with now, and people moved on, but this whole thing coulda be done better is the whole point. And I agree with summit on that. It doesn't matter if you all tell me to do something, because at the end of the day it's me doing the action. Take some self accountability

I get Summit's point, but I really don’t understand why people are so quick to throw out hateful comments. That aside, there are some key details missing from this video. Initially, the cheater was given options instead of being kicked from the guild: either take the coward debuff and delete all their stuff or delete their character and start over. Later, the coward debuff offer was taken back, and instead, they were told to take their chances in the arena, which made it seem like there was at least a shot at a chance to live. I agree it was awesome to watch up to that point, but when the level 60 stepped in, it completely killed the vibe. At that stage, they might as well have just told the cheater to delete their character outright. What the cheater actually did was disable their addon and use the auction house to store items. Honestly, this doesn’t seem like a massive offense, especially considering T1 was caught cheating and only had to delete the item they gained-it feels inconsistent (edit: debunked regarding T1, but my point regarding the type of offense remains, as Soda only thought T1 was cheating and at the time only asked to delete the item)? The whole situation seems like it was orchestrated to create content around cheating, which is ironic given that Soda explicitly said he wasn’t going to do that. Soda also points out the hate the level 60 might receive because of Summit, but by creating this video and fueling the drama, it’s actually Summit who’s likely to end up taking most of the backlash (just take a look at all the comments, Soda, common). I also didn’t like how Soda joined Summit’s stream and called him, saying, “Explain how you feel, and I’ll explain how you’re wrong.” That approach is bound to put anyone on the defensive right away and completely dismisses Summit’s right to his own point of view. At the end of the day, neither side comes out of this and they should next time agree to NOT cover content on cheating.

Summit wanted the guy who gained an unfair advantage by cheating to get a fair fight in the arena vs people who didn't cheat to reach lvl 30s.. this guy is weird. Sending the lvl 60 in was a sign of part of the server deciding that the cheater should have his character killed. To make that out to some guy wanting clout says more about Summits own judgement and motivations for playing OnlyFangs than the lvl 60. Even the cheater was over it..

Honestly, I found out about the whole situation through summit's vod and was on his side originally. After hearing his argument I think I only lost respect summit. Would it have been a better event if he wasn't 2 shot by a lvl 60? Probably. Could he have tamed his chat to be less hateful? Absolutely. Arguing about a better way to handle the punishment when it was already better than what was supposed to happen is nonsensical. Then proceeding to blame Zeroji for everything, which he did make the decision in the end, but acting the way Summit did is sad. The way Summit has acted the last few years has absolutely been influenced by his weed usage and his defenciveness at his ability to play video games at his age. His anger/bitterness has gotten so much worse, I just cant help to think he's unhappy about something. Soda also kinda pissed me off a tiny bit too with how much ego he had during the argument, and I've been watching him longer than Summit.
