I had to stop him eating my tools!

This week I built a storage caddy to keep my DIY tools safe from a monster: Archie our puppy. Though it's built from OSB, I still want something that looks good in our home office/studio/workshop, so I went for a Japandi-inspired design - how do you think I did?

Archie is still in training and once he will get you a £300 cordless drill from a neighbour. He just needs to get trained "fetch". Advantage: No lawsuits against animals ;)

Really great video - subscribed :) I'm a retirement age new woodworker and I'm in the process of making some kitchen furniture (drawers and shelves) for my daughter's flat and decided to try OSB because I actually like the aesthetic of OSB (I'm seeing a colonial, recycled banana leaf, packing crate vibe but I always fail ink blot tests so that probably says more about me than anything else :) ) and then there is the price advantage. Greetings form Warsaw, Poland! PS of course Archie is brilliant but probably much more grown up by now :)

Thanks, glad you found me. No complaints so far (thankfully). I tend to keep things sensible - only using power tools during daytime, and definitely before around 7pm. I tend to try and do as much sawing/routing as I can in batches, and then I can do quiet jobs like assembly in our little home office

I have a Blue Heeler who is well behaved. Currently trying to train her to bring me pencils but she's too smart for me to train! Regards James One Handed Maker

Another great video. Now I’ve got a use for all the OSB off cuts from my garden office….. workshop…… no, office…. that I’ve not known what to do with. How is the osb holding up structurally with the butt joints and screws?

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. It’s been great, actually. I was a little worried about blow out, but predrilling everything has helped keep it all aligned and solid. Still need to sort those draw slides though 😅

Haha, they’re actually dip bars for doing exercise - they just happen to be pretty much perfect as saw horses 😅. I think they’re from Amazon

Poor Archie has nothing to play with anymore. Other than that, a great tool box. I find it ridiculous that most workshop furniture these days is better than most peoples real furniture.
