I'm refinishing my dining table - it's oak. I've sanded quite a bit (with reducing grit along the way) and it still looks a little splotchy. I'm reticent about sanding anymore because I think I'll go right through the veneer soon. I'm planning to do a very thin beige wash to tone down the orange. Is there another way to address the splotchiness without sanding or do you think the wash will help even it out? TIA!
