Those rats that were released with attack wild birds or eat their eggs. I also thought it was illegal to release vermin. But I may be wrong on that one though.

Its a hard life raising babies. Human or animals. Its so difficult to remain strong, when their in danger, or helpless. Ive cried ducks dying in my arms. Its part of life, but seeing u save this little guys life is just pure love

What was the food mixture that you fed her? My father rescued a few animals and raised them, until they could fend for themselves, then allowed them to go back into the wild, if/when they were ready. He tried with a baby bird, but the little one didn't make it. He had success with some wild babies: a squirrel, a possum, a crow and a raccoon. I wish I could help a baby bird, I have a parakeet that laid eggs, but she never took care of them. I tried hatching them, but they never hatched. I'm hopeful that if she lays again, I will eventually have some luck.
