Some of y'all finding this in the summer, Here's some tips since im too lazy to make part 2 : if you are a freshman please do not do too much. (Be loud and run all over this place everybody hates it and be aware of your surroundings) / Please talk to your teachers after class for help or whatever if you are too scared to say something in the middle of class. A lot of the rude teachers are actually nicer behind the scenes. If you are nice enough they will give you extra credit../ Be careful who you tell information too and dont get too carried away with gossiping because it will come back to you! If you cant fight dont talk too much crap! / Join a club if you can't make friends / Stand up for yourself as well dont let other people think they can run over you or they will! / Last but not least have fun its the last 4 years you have of just that being your responsibility

I feel like I'm the only one who actually really enjoyed high school lol. Granted, I did have some bad experiences but the good experiences heavily outweighed the bad. I was also part of the "smart" (I guess), calm kids so that's probably why I never experienced much drama in high school. I was in the band though and if anyone's ever experienced being in the band in high school you would know how hectic and full of drama that could be. I tried to stay away from most of the things those things and did fairly good. I did experience a ton of good stuff though. Sophomore year being my favorite year.

I finished high school this year, and just started University. I gotta say, It was a weight off my shoulders too. Like 50% of my anxiety is gone. I was always scared of eating alone at the cafeteria, and nervous about having to talk to and work with other people. Being alone during breaks gave me anxiety and made em feel embarrassed and like I didn’t fit in. Plus I was bullied since grade 2 and basically all of middle school so that was crap. It’s just great to be done with it, but still hard to believe it’s over.

I had never been an ap student until Jr year, and by jr year i had already been over my friends drama, so ap honestly gave me an excuse to ignore their drama. I honestly almost failed all the AP classes because fuck that shit, but it was good as a lie to be away from people. Why did I get ap classes you may be asking. Because for once I actually showed my school work some attention. I'm one of those kids where I can leave school for a week, come back to take tests, pass them, and vanish again (which I did do my senior year). I always slacked on my work to avoid advanced/ap/IB classes so for once I wanted to see what they were like. I regret it. I’m currently in high school (sophomore btw) and it’s horrible. Teachers don’t teach you anything, they’re always leaving early, and we don’t do anything nor get assigned with homework. And I’m a loner there with no friends but glad that to be alone since it be like walking in crowd of bad decisions. I’m hoping I can do online school for 11th and 12th grade since I’m so miserable right now and for the people who are in the situation as me I hope things get better for you I believe in you can get through this and be able to relax from the stressful/exhausting moments in high school. ❤️

Everybody has got their horror stories, just tuck into your work and you’ll be fine. All the drama that goes into relationships, platonic and romantic, is usually not worth it. Most people don’t see their old friends again after high school. Take it from a graduating senior, you can get through it whether you have friends or not. In the end, you’re there to learn, and if you need help or support your family has got that covered. Good luck kiddo, do you best and stay out of trouble. You’re gonna be okay 🙂

Lol, good luck guys, I graduated highschool year 2020. I was an AP student and I can confirm that AP classes were like the nice rich neighborhood in a city. No drama, quiet classes, nice classmates, no one smelled. But of course in exchange for that it was a lot of fucking work, projects, homework, books to read, tests to take, if you failed you'd get dropped from the class, and if you don't do your work your classmates will look down on you and avoid you. The better your grades the more of them wanted to be your friend. Overall I loved it there, I felt safe in those classes and no one ever stole my stuff or picked fights like they did in level classes

Omg the AP students/dual enrollment stuff is so true. You would be so swamped with homework, studying for the SAT/ACT, doing 30 different club activities, etc, that you would legit be doing nothing else but academics for your four years. Instead of worrying about pregnancy scares or if your best friends are stealing your boyfriend, you're worrying about that math test you may or may not have gotten a B on (yes, a B is a fail in our books). Pro is that you get to avoid drama and the whole 'human relationships' debacle but Con is you never leave your house for about 4 years. A worthy trade-off.

Man, if I had any advice for my younger self in highschool, is to just be practical and don't bother with people. I kept making friends with fake ass people, had my self worth decided by others. Cafeteria is really noisy and scary? Just eat lunch outside. Don't want to interact with people? Just go to the library and read there. That kind of thing. Would've saved so much damn stress. You got all these expectations to have a bunch of friends and hang out AND still do your studying. As someone who went out of his way to make friends that I didn't even like, what a waste.

I enjoyed high school while at the same time hating it. The good things about it was my friend group but slowly my friends were drifting apart. But there was so much stress in my junior year that I eventually had a panic attack every other week. Basically, the first two years were the happiest moments in high school and the last two years everything went downhill.

I'm in my last years in school before getting into pre college. And the only thing I will miss is how I and my group almost burned the school library down, eating instant noodles there (our teacher got us even an water heater), our class somehow bullying our teacher (I felt sorry for her but at the same time not because she literally was grading the people she didn't like unfairly and I was somehow not one of them but still noticed it), a random scissors stuck to the ceiling just as many as brooms, stuff getting thrown throught the room and having an actually overactive pe teacher who bought you ice cream if you managed to run a hour to get an A. And I'm just trying to be optimistic since it's not my old school (german Gymnasium). We're math was just chaotic since I understood nothing even when I tried, german was just boring and horrible, English was OK, Latin with the age of 11 or 12 am I stupid why didn't I choose French?, and than choosing French as my 3rd language dude I'm not even native german what was I expecting with 5 languages if I'm already unable to understand Latin? and the only good part was if you were in the school choir or orchestra you would get an a automatically in music even if you sucked at it. Ok I think I just let enough steam out:3

I just finished my freshman year. I hated EVERYONE and I didn't want to talk to them but I'm a MAGNET for some reason and I was just surrounded by people I didn't like the whole time because I didn't speak loud enough to tell them I would literally rather die than hang out with them.

Am I the only one who had an extremely anticlimactic high school experience? No one from an older grade ever gave me grief, I even crushed on a senior but we won’t talk about that. The most I had issues with is just schedule issues, but drama-wise, *maybe* the rat hot-Cheeto girls in my own grade that I always had beef with, but seeing as our scheduled never coincided (literally it was like they dropped off the face of the earth) so that by the time I did see them again, we were completely chill. The cafeteria was all mixed grades. No one got bullied, no one really got excluded unless they chose to sit by themselves, and even as freshman’s carving a usual sitting spot out of the lunchroom wasn’t hard. Then again that doesn’t count the depression and shit storm that would follow the next year that would cause me to become an unwilling dropout (my mom unenrolled me without my consent or consulting me so I could babysit full time without pay) and get a year behind my freinds. I wanted to kill myself so bad, and one day when something happened and I knew my moon was going to flip her shut over it, I grabbed my things and straight up walked out, and haven’t returned since. Maybe that makes up for my peaceful, even boring high school experience, for the little time it lasted.

I'm currently a dual enrollment student who is a senior. Last year I took dual enrollment courses along with two AP classes. It was absolutely terrible, but I passed Precalculus with an A Calculus with a B, and Physics (College), with an A and got a 3 in the AP Language exam and a 4 in the APUSH exam. Right now I'm doing pretty alright in Chemistry 101 and I'm not sure where I'm at in Calculus II considering the two terrible test scores I got at the beginning(I've been getting better scores now though) So at least I'm saving money with all the college credits I'm getting. I'll admit it is fun to be able to leave early, but all I'm often doing is homework, studying, eating, resting, or exercising (sometimes more because I want to be productive in my procrastination). You are right though, I never hear about what drama is going on. I'm quite literally too busy. Every day I feel on the edge of burning out.😧😰 Thank goodness weekends exists. I basically recharge on Saturday.

Me as a senior completely agrees with junior year. The year that I completely lost all my friend and connections because my parents decided that we should move right before my junior year, junior year! If it weren’t for COVID, that made classes 90% easier to cheat and get away with it, I wouldn’t have survived all of that torture!!!!!

as a middle schooler, i related to a lot of this waking up TOO DANG EARLY (6-something) food (we're made to eat subs on Wednesday, no questions asked unless you get a ridiculously expensive-in-Dojos lunch pass for ramen, Uncrustables or Hot Pockets, so not the best, we all hate it, the subs, not the passes) extra point: LOUD (all boys) little teacher-student fights on occasion being a bit of an anxious mess on the first days (i got lost on my thid day trying to find P.E. because the class left while i was in the bathroom and i assumed i knew and denyed directions from the main office until i couldnt do anything else and had a random 8th grader help me)
