I 'Lost' my only daughter to her. She said things like, "Your mom doesn't love you". While spending, a lot of money on her. I didn't know, this would happen. DON'T LET THIS MIL near kids!

Yes!!! I followed his advice about making amends with parents for years and years and year after year I was humiliated, screamed at, insulted and disrespected. Nothing I gave or put in was reciprocated. Where did I end up? In a psychiatric facility. As a single mom I was so sick I had to leave my kids at home. What did she do when she thought she’d won and finally broke me? BLOCKED me the first day I was their. My sister who I was so desperate to love me and always in my business, left me and ignored me and called me useless. Never ever ever ever will I allow these people in my life. I refuse to call her mom ( even as an adult I still called her mommy) and told her I won’t even see her on her death bed. I think that advice is dangerous and sucks

We didn’t talk for over 5 years but when she was hurt in an accident I went to see her. He never said a word. He was ok with me seeing her, she on the other hand never accepted him. I love my daughter in law. I respect that she is the woman my son loves and the mother of my beautiful grandchildren. My son is an only child and I am blessed to have such a wonderful partner for my son and now I have a daughter too. ❤😊 I had in laws like this. I went to an unlisted phone number, changes the locks, and stopped going to their family functions. I did not interfere with my ex husband or son’s ability to talk to or see them. They simply used his cell phone and saw them away from my home. It worked.

I think that the mom is actually jealous of the daughter in law. I think she (DIL) has the things she (mom) always wanted and thinks she deserves. The biggest issue, l believe, is that the mother is extremely jealous! The mother was used to having her son to herself. His young wife now has most of his attention and affection. Along comes a baby and the jealousy is exacerbated. The mother had underhandedly criticized her son’s workmanship. This is really indicative of intense jealousy and resentment. I truly hope things have changed for this family.

This is the difference between this MIL and my parents. I was married at 21yrs of age and we started a family when l was 23yrs of age. My ex and l divorced after 15yrs of marriage.
