The picture of your family is beautiful. It's what true model of what families should be like. My mom never interfered with any of her daughters in law and had a good relationship. But only because she was very careful. If she ever said one thing one of them would not want her in her life. And my mom was a saint. That's how narcistic can daughters in law be. jennypham3998-What you don't realize is that she would probably move to the same town, as they. Her problem is, she's had her son most of her life & now can't let him go. She wants to control the situation & drive the wife away! Then she can have him to herself again. But that will only dive her son away! The wife also has a problem with not giving a little in this situation. Also, she needs to stop responding to her when mother-in- law says these things & walk away. Do this enough times & she will get the picture!(I had a boss who was like this, & I responded to her like the wife. Then one time I'd had enough, said I wasn't going to take this & walked away. This left her dumbfounded & she couldn't respond to me😅 Also, once got into an argument with my sister on phone. Told her I was ending this conversation now as she was being unreasonable.Told her I would call her back, only when she was calmer.(Basically I was leaving the "ball in her park" so too speak, to make the next move. She called me1 month later & apologized. I did all this in a calm vice, too. So, it does work, cause you aren't letting the other person push your hot buttons.Which is exactly what this Mother-in-law was doing, which means she has no control!

Parents like this don't seem to realize they're hurting their *own* children more than they are the son or daughter in law. Each of my daughters have married 'good guys' whose mothers want to control their adult lives. That behavior has been rejected by my sons-in-law but in at least one instance, 'Mom' is still the same, forty years later. My daughter signed off, many years ago, refusing to further interact with her MIL, but encouraging her husband to maintain a relationship with his Mom, in whatever way he chooses. On the occasions when MIL still 'takes a shot' at my daughter, my son-in-law shuts that down, right away. He's a treasure.

My mother took in my dad's parents and looked after them until they died. I'm the youngest of 7 kids. I was 6 months old when we moved into a new house and built a 2 bedroom apartment on the side for my dad's parents. Mom had to look after them as well as all 7 of us, and started a business, which is still going great to this day, with offices now across North America

Look at the mother's eyes, she can't take her eyes away from her for more than 5 seconds. The lonely desperation and jealousy is ozzing out of that woman, she clearly has no life of her own and was under the impression her son's purpose on earth is to pay attention to her. She desperately needs a life

@@joywebster2678 It is no longer said that a woman with MS should not get pregnant. That was once said, once thought. Nowadays, it is known that women with MS can get pregant, and they have no more problems than women without MS. That is a fact. Today, a lot of people live pretty normal lives with MS. The only exception might be cases, such as the actress and singer Annette Funicello. She had a case of MS that could not be treated. That is extremely rare. A friend of mine has MS, and, she gets around with very little problem, and is quite active. It is no longer considered as bad as it was at one time. They have treatments today that they didn't have at one time, which is great.

Wow! That mother in law is a real piece of work!, talk about controlling him like he is 10 years old and the way that she hugged him, but if I was her daughter in law she would still be banned from their home and blocked on their phones too!. I have been married before and my first husband was a mommas boy and it was the worst decision I ever made and I lost a good 10 years of my life dealing with the same sh*t because of the mother in law, and now I am re-married my mother in law is a huge pain in my backside too!. She thinks she can walk into my home when she feels like it, I had lost my mom and she moved in with us and stopped us from having a family home, she told me what I could and couldn’t do in my own home, she walked into our bedroom numerous times when I was just out of the shower and butt naked!!….i told her many times to not do that, but nope!. She would put our tv on loud from 8:30am until midnight and it was what she wanted to watch!. I also did college from home and I had to work at my desk and she would simply turn up the volume every time I asked her to turn the tv down as I needed to concentrate!. She also stood by my bedroom door when I was talking to my family and best friends and would listen to everything, which really made me angry. She wanted us to “keep her” and we was so broke at that time and she would demand that we sort her dinner and then complain because it was a ‘cheap’ dinner, and never gave us any money for her staying with us so I had to use all of my inheritance from my moms passing and then when she went out to her other son she would take him out to dinner and spoilt him and even gave him over £700!!! But she moaned if we asked for £20 a week to pay for her meals and extra for electricity as I used to clean the flat everyday, but nope I couldn’t even clean the house because the bleach smell was too strong or I got in the way of the tv!!!. The worst part was she had a bottle of wine every night at ours even though we told her that we didn’t allow alcohol in our home because my husband is 19 years dry but still craves it, but no it was her way or no way!. We had enough after 5 months as she had turned down all accommodation offered to her and so we wrote an email to the housing to say that we were evicting her, she nearly broke my marriage. We got her a beautiful home, emptied all our cupboards, got her tons of stuff to fill it, but yep I was the worst person ever!. In the end I refused to speak to her and barely do now. I have nothing to do with her because of things she has done to me and my hubby, and even after 10 years of marriage she is still the same and it pees me off big time. I honestly hate and detest moms who interfere in an adult relationship and marriage and think they can dictate what happens, well nope!. That mom on here though seriously needs to get a life, she has caused all the problems and she is responsible for everything and needs to accept that her little boy is no longer hers, if not she needs to be put into a straight jacket and asap!!!
