I got literally demolished by an entire army of Noctis-players yesterday on Steam. I was always too afraid to evade his sword strings with side steps so that getting close was a pain. I really wished I would have known about your content way earlier. Thank you very much.

Ikr! I encountered like 8 Noctis-players in a row and they always immediately left after the match. This drove me so crazy! :D Yeah, FGs can be very disheartening sometimes, but please don`t give up because of bad expreiences like this one. I got bodied pretty often in my main FGs Tekken 7 and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2. However, I still played on and it was definitely the right decision.

They did the same to me! Immediately left right after the match. Left a sour taste in my mouth. You're right though. It may have been my first online Tekken experience, but I shouldn't let it get to me. Noctis will be flavor of the month for awhile so the best I can do is focus on how to counter him for the time being, as I WILL run into him more online. Next time I see him, I'll be ready. Until then... it's off to training mode!

Oh, you just started playing Tekken 7. I highly recommend you to learn easy combos of your main character and try to figure out which launchers (moves that can send your opponent up into the air so that you can "juggle" him with several attacks) he/she has got. Furthermore it`s very covenient to improve your movement in Tekken. Unfortunately, It`s really not easy , but with "whiff-punishes" due to formidadle spacing (=the foe wants to attack you, but bc you`re out of range he misses and while he must recover from this move you go in quickly and punish him hard) you definitely have the upper hand against most people online. Thanks for making this video. There were a few things that I found out while using this as a guide: move 41 (against the wall), move 46, and move 57 is (sort of) -14. I say "sort of" for -14 because while two of my 14f frames can punish that move, one in particular can't for whatever reason.

That happened to me so I had to add corrections. Some of the 14 frame punishers are 15f after a short distance like Paul so I now longer can use him to test -14.

you can counter with armor, lili and akuma can destroy him, others can do more damage such as bob or heihachi edit: stepping is good, but it doesn't work everytime

you need to sidewalk to beat it. Also, Noctis shits on Akuma coz he will always punish fireballs (his f2 has faster travel speed than fireballs, and he can ss~punish fireballs super easily)

So I think I am pretty good at fighting games and I started to transition to Tekken a couple of days ago, I want to learn Lei, Lucky, Eddy and/or Akuma but right now I am playing Noctis to get a feel for how the game plays and I am picking up fundamentals and gameplay quickly, mainly what I am asking is; Is there a character easier to use and better than Noctis for mainly learning the game?

Eh I don't think. Soul Calibur at the end of the day is weapon-based and while they did have Heihachi as a guest character along with the Devil Jin guest moveset for CAS, I don't think they'd do it again. If anything, we may just get the try and trued Cloud Strife and Sephiroth.

You know, what's sad dude is that I literally struggled with this fucking character for so long. He seriously to me is punishable and they won't fix it. I lose literally 50% of my battles BECAUSE of these reasons. And it pisses me off. I literally would lose 5 times in a row because of the frames. It pisses me off because it's seriously unfair.
