I hate the N64 but I love these games

Nice picks for the games! But I do have to add F-Zero X to this. 60fps makes it super fast and smooth to play. Graphics are plain and simple and a lot of fun to play 4 players still to this day!

I was curious whether the second pile of games would get mentioned. It's interesting you mention photography (and centering subjects) as it plays a small part in probably my favourite N64 game - Pilotwings! The photography missions in the hang glider are perhaps only 3% of that game, but they were some of my very favourites. That aside, Pilotwings is just such a *mood*, equal parts blissed-out and frustrating, with analogue controls that remain beautifully subtle today.

You DO get turbo when drifting in mario kart 64. just get the letters orange and you move faster on release...............

I don't play HM64, but play HM Back to Nature in PS1. Is pretty similiar, this game is really great.

I was the hardest of hardcore Nintendo fans during the NES and SNES years, but even I had to admit that the system was just poopoo. I only really enjoyed Mario 64 and StarFox 64.
