Idk why they weren't doing the metal with Turbo, or why they started doing awful gimmicks like sling shock or hyper sphere, and then idk what was going on with sparking but it felt like hasbro was telling us they dont care anymore...and then Quad drive is actually cool in theory, but in practice having 2 drivers in 1 sorta limits what kind of drivers you can make

my scalding take here is that i really love ultimate evo valtryek *because* of its rough, unfinished look. sure, it isnt breathtaking or insanely intricate, but the flat colors just look interesting to me. like a niche artstyle that isnt necessarily renaissance quality but still is enjoyable without a lot of detail
