I just noticed, in the reverse version at the end where there were no lyrics and was just the beat of the song, it sounded like a heart beat - especially because it went flat at the very end. It was a drawn out and deliberate scene, and it made me feel as if the girl died slowly :(

I think the song is about: The main character singing is being physically abused by her mom, a friend of hers comes over but the mom finds out and comes to kill her daughter and the friend...literally. So the main girl singing tells her friend to run so she does, and the girls voice slowing down is the mom got to her daughter and kills her by strangulation, I got part of the theory from “unoriginal robloxians” on the original okaasan video.Also please listen to some wholesome vocaloid songs like: “I like I love you” by rin kagamine “po pi po” by hatsune miku and “specialgirl” by hime and mikoto.

As people pointed out, there actually are genuine lyrics hidden in reverse in a different version. Machigerita is well known for double meanings, word play, and using all kinds of ways of hiding stories within his lyrics (he even writes actual stories based on his songs!) But as for the video, this was a perfect fit for Halloween 😂 It'll be interesting to see if you can handle some of Machigerita's other songs (although you might have to go to NND to find the originals, or find a reprint here on YT. マチゲリータ if you do end up going to NND)

i think okaasan is about a girl (miku) who’s mother choked someone, miku ran to her room in fear. one day miku’s friend was at her house and miku warned her friend about her mom, her friend was talking about how miku’s mom was and the mom heard. the mom started coming and miku rushed her friend out of the house. miku hid but her mom found her and strangled her.

Actually the actual story is okaasan(mother) is possessed. So, she killed all her children and the one singing it(Miku) was the only one left to die. So basically it seemed like she kept on saying "Mother is here and her neck is twisting" and stuff but actually she was trying to explain her mother is not normal anymore (on the reference of twisting neck) and at the same time, asking for help which is mentioned in the reversed version. So, she was hiding in her closet, under the bed, and places like that.. but in the end her mother actually comes and rips her head off, due to which her voicebox gets torn, for which in the end her voice became more like hoarse and a lot more like the static used in horror films. I first heard this song in 2017, I was like 12yrs old and there wasn't any other song that would make me more scared than this one 😂 and now that I'm listening to it after 3 whole ass years makes me think how scaredy cat I used to be... But ultimately I still switched off the audio in the end of the song cuz that static still freaks me out 😂😂😭.. Anyways.. it's good to see someone make a reaction for this song.. My view of the story: 0:00 - 0:50 - The laugh of the mother as she strangled Miku's father, Miku watching terrified. 0:50 - 1:14 - The ( poor ) terrified Miku repeating the ways and sounds hr fathers' neck went, petrefied that she was next. 1:14 - 1:36 - This is where the abuse starts. She warned everyone, including herself, about her mother. Her mother found out, and started to weakly abuse Miku. 1:37 - 1:48 - Soon, the abuse started to turn into full-blown strangling as Miku continued to tell everyone. Her mother strangled her for a painful half-minute, as Miku stuttered and gasped for her to stop. 1:49 - 2:13 - She invited a friend over to hang out, help with homework, and just have fun. But she warned her friend about her mother, and she lead her friend quickly into her room, but she forgot to close the door. 2:14 - 2:31 - Her mother came home and heard her friend talking about how creepy Miku's mother sounded. The mother slowly came upstairs, getting herself ready. Miku opened her window and rushed her friend out, making sure her friend got out safely. 2:32 - 2:39 - Her mother finally grabbed Miku, her grip stronger than before. Her friend was watching, terrified. Miku was gasping until she glanced with her eyes to her friend, smiling weakly and saying the exact words, her voice getting lower as blood rushed down her mouth from the impact. 2:40 - 2:45 - Her mother had killed her completely, the glitch signing as Miku's cough / scream of blood before her windpipe was crushed.

@Eva Tavarez That is true Secret od Wysteria is based on real life serial killer. But the composition and music direction in both this song and Okasaan are way different. For me Secrets of Wysteria made me feel uneasy (not talking about the reversed version.) While Okasaan left me personally with a feeling of dread and danger in a sense. Now Everybody's experience is different and my experience is probably not universal to everybody.
