AHHHHHH HEY EVERYONE!
I've said this a million times, but im SO SO excited to finally be sharing this animation with all of you. I truly worked hard on this project and put alot of emotion into it, like I have the other 2 animations in this vent series.
I'm happy to be finishing this series off with the best animation in this series (imo)! If you aren't caught up:
This series is extremely important to me as it represents moving on. Following the events of October, leaving a friendship that was not longer healthy and left me in immeasurable pain, I began to make vent animations, ALOT. After a few months of starting vent animations and never finishing them, no longer posting regularly on my instagram and falling off my creative passion in general, I realised that these vent animations were no longer helping me and instead encouraging me to hold on to memories that were hurting me. So I decided to pick 3 of the vent animations, finish them as soon as possible and upload them. This would then force me not to spend anymore time on them and begin to move on. So, here I am.
While my goal of making this series was mostly to benifit myself, I always love seeing people comment on my vent animations saying that it helped them relate or made them feel less alone. It genuinely makes me so happy when I can turn my pain and sadness into art that helps other people their own pain and sadness.
What I enjoyed the most about this project was the freedom I gave myself, how I didn't have to render everything or colour everything perfectly. I think it contributed to the vent look of this animation and I'm super happy with the result! I also really enjoyed animating the frame by frame parts, eeee frame by frame makes me so happy lol. I am most proud of literally everything in this animation LMAO but if i had to choose one main scene I am proud of it would be the last scene, at 1:11
This scene- oh my lord- it required ALOT of patience, timing, attention to detail, and organization. Because this scene took so many frames that looked really similar, it got confusing at times and really difficult. But I pushed through and oh my GOODNESS was it worth it! I truly believe this is one of the scenes that shows my skills as an animator, along with my passion for my craft.
But yeah, Like every other scene makes me so happy to look at knowing that I made it. Scenes like 0:16 , 0:19 , 0:48 , 0:53 , 0:56 and 0:57 and up (those 3 sequences that repeat) make me SO HAPPY and were so fun to animate. I'm genuinely so proud of myself and djsdfjasijkjdkjdkjdskskskskksksskskkkeeeeeeeeeeee
So, now that this marks the end of this vent series, what's next?
Honestly, I'm not too sure.
I know that I want to take a break for a week or so, just to draw more and maybe start a tik tok, or even just to relax, tend to my other hobbies and maybe even go out more!
But besides that, I think i mightttt make the QnA meme?/?/??? maybe.
But something I've been wanting to talk to you guys about is like the general content on this channel.
My animations, my work, my projects, I usually like to push myself, make them long, detailed and PERFECT.
But I don't want to do that anymore.
Because all these "perfect" animations come from a place of overworking, overachieving and never allow me to be free and just have fun. Yes, I still have fun when i do all those grueling projects, but its not as much as I could be having if i just let go.
I need to let my hobby be a hobby, instead of work.
So, i've decided that until I can be a healthy overachiever and find that balance, I want to have fun.
meaning, I want to try making filler stuff. Kinda like what foxiboxi has going on rn! and like foxiboxi's stuff, I still want that filler to look good! even if its just a little looped animation.
I can't break years worth of bad habits and a strict mindset in one month, I know I'm still gonna be critical on myself and try to push myself to unecessary lengths, but I believe that with alot of time and focus, I can do it.
So yeah, thats the bigger picture lol.
This also means making changes to my art style, I'm sure you've noticed, but with the past few uploads, my art style has been everywhere lol.
But yeah I need to experiement more with my artstyle, animation and all of that. I gotta find whats most enjoyable for me!
