Man, this clip hits close to home for me. I had multiple father figures who fucked me and my family over countless of times. And dude, whatever you are going through there are people that love you. And never feel bad for your emotions, because man it’s confusing. And if you still love whoever that is that’s fine. Because I know I still love my abusers. All you have to do is know that you deserved better. And in all truths, you did deserve better. You deserved better than what you got, and it sucks that you got caught up in such a bad situation. I think denial (atleast in my case, this definitely doesn’t speak for everyone) was one of the worst stages of my “breaking up” with my friend group. I knew that they hurt me emotionally, I knew they would again if I went back to them, but I still felt collared to that discord server, to those people because they’re the people I got through suicidal thoughts with, I got through theirs too, I had so much fun and they were my everything. It hurt so much because it felt like they were a part of who I was. I guess what I’m trying to say is no matter how much I knew they were horrible, I still wanting them back. I wanted the good times I remembered to stay. I still have a few of our Minecraft bases fully mapped out in my head, and I’m able to move around through them like I’m in spectator mode. A souvenir, I guess.
