I hated FS 22...how is Farming Simulator 25 ?

Im pissed because we did not get a single proper improvement to seasons aspect of the game... also, precision farming mod is still not integrated in the game... furthermore, apparently its even completely discontinued, so we most likely wont see it at all... this just very few issues i have with this game.. such a same Cattle & Crops was abandoned... back then it had better economy, ground deformation etc... and im talking about the game which was abandoned 5+ years ago... To anyone reading this, if you bought the game and dont really like the minor "improvements" we got, leave a negative review on steam. Yess, leave a negative review. Do this to at least have some proper chance of getting normal ACTUAL improvements in the future titles

Everyone seems to be enjoying and switching to 25, but i was so disappointed by 22 and its lack of a proper 'courseplay' that I'm still on 19.... and will likely only switch once custom path recording gets implemented into the main game (so probably never)

Yep, that's why I'm just sticking with FS19. Don't particularly want to get all 2,000 mods I've collected again, and also realize that half of the stuff I liked is now not being migrated up because the modders left. Giants can't take the hint that they need to start other franchises up again to make money vs focusing in on 1 singular game/franchise. That's not sustainable at all. If Giants wants money, *other games* is a better option then making DLC simulator, especially when the modding community anyway can still provide more variety and better quality content for free. They're at the stage where they themselves don't even have to add to the game to keep it running, the modding community simply would. Giants is literally beating a dead horse.

I've been looking at purchasing this, thanks for the preview. You can see the position of your attached equipment (up, Down), front and rear, in the shadow diagram of your tractor, top left of the screen. When spraying the crops, raise the boom so it passes over the top, instead of dragging it through the middle.

It's def a step backwards in many respects unfortunately with some very strange decisions on GIANTS part. Massive amounts of missing equipment, QOL menu screens missing and the graphics and performance leave a lot to be desired. Was looking forward to it but for the price and whats been delivered...

They are taking the Paradox business model and running with it. DLC will fill in a few things, add a couple new features before announcing FS 28. Everything else modders will fill in. Plus they have a new racing game to focus on. Glad I didn't pre-order. Will likely play FS 22 until the next game comes out.

FS17 + mods was peak Farm Sim for me. I almost didn't buy 19 but the "build your own farm" aspect won me over. I didn't buy 22 and won't be buying 25. They did give me a key for 22 and if they do for 25 I'll give it a whirl.

33:10 - In all previous FS's you've been able to raise and lower the spray boom, so you don't keep knocking over the crop as you go along. Most IRL is set so the spray boom is just above the crop, so the most spray gets to where it needs to so you don't need loads of extra expensive go-go juice to make the difference.

The APE 50 is actually a moped, not a motor cycle. It seems like it has a small cult following, with a few enthusiast KZbin channels and whatnot. Remember seeing a young couple converting one to a tiny camper, and going on vacation from somewhere in the western parts of Germany to the Netherlands :) Fun fact: In Sweden it's legal to drive those (mopeds that have a max legal speed of 25/30km/h) without a license if you are born before October 1994 (around the time Sweden entered the EU) P.S. this seems like I game that I will watch people play on KZbin but don't get myself. :)

Oh boy, I didn't care that much about FS9, but that's what I started with. loved FS11, then hated 13 and 15, 17 came out and that was the best version ever, didn't like 19, 22 but when this trend is continuing I probably should wait until the next version, so for now I won't buy this game, also because I refuse to pay over 40 euro for a standard game, so I am forced to wait for a sale anyhow. But if this version would disappoint me in the future, I don't think I will ever buy a version again.

Good first impression. I'd like to see a review once you have played more. I do have FS22 which I bought on sale but never got around to playing. I'm interested in 25 as I do have friends who are playing it now. I'm just wondering if it's worth the price tag or whether to wait for a sale?

so much of the farm sim community defends giants way too much, farm sim has hardly evolved since fs13 when i start playing. yeah the graphics have gotten better but thats about it, in over 10 years we got slightly better ai, the ability to dump trailers and forestry. everything else really isnt impressive. AND ground deformation is a joke, its glorified tire tracks. i heard giants makes enough money from branding deals to pay for the entire games development, i dont know how true that is but it definitely would explain the lack of innovation from game to game

i would care about that npc interaction for a few contracts, because its new.. but after that, most likely going to completely ignore them... menu is faster and tbh, more realistic. who is still talking with ppl in person these days when everything can be comunicated via internet.

I live in a crofting village and basically nobody uses the internet to coordinate these things. It’s either in person or on the telephone. It’s partly because even young farmers are old fashioned and partly in a community our size you already kind of know who you need and all you need is to ask if they’re interested in being hired by you or hiring you for the job in mind. So I dunno if I’d agree with more realistic at all. But it’s a video game so if you prefer a menu that’s all you however loads of people soft role play FSxx so I think it’s a neat change. I’m sure mods will fluff it out further too.

And...that makes perfect sense, because I really feel home on this map, and I'm from Mecklenburg vorpommern, so it's part of pommerania so its very much like the villages at home :)

@@bballjo From the video, it sounds like you didn't like FS 22 because of how the seasons feature was implemented. Is that correct? I definitely missed some of the Seasons mod features that were in FS 19, but not implemented in FS 22. I still enjoyed FS 22 and didn't find it all that different from FS 19 though.

@tallanvorr seasons was a huge factor for me, yes... instead of impacting gameplay it became a different visual texture, nothing else. Tbf 25 could have that same issue. Additionally, in 22 driving felt more empty to me, there wasn't feedback, there wasn't ground interaction, it just felt very basic, and a step back from 19. 25, for the short time that I have played, feels like it has a lot more interactions with the surrounding, gearboxes and power applied to different loads feel much better, tire tracks look great and stick around, and overall the feeling is very warm. To be clear, all of this is feelings based, 19 felt amazing, 22 felt awful, 25 feels good so far.

@ my comment was more pointed towards the word “hate”. This is 2024 and it’s being misused and misinterpreted way too much. If u really hate something why buy a newer version, from the same makers, of practically the same game? The word hate carries to much emotion in my view. The word “dislike” fits more, because u liked it enough to try again.
