I was so excited to try out the new Signature Treasure card Crimson, and it didn't disappoint in this awesome Triple Blood Scarlet Duels run!

Regis Titles: YOU CANT WIN. I AM TOO POWERFUL. I WILL DESTROY YOU. YOU ARE A FEEBLE SHEEP AND SHALL BE DESTROYED. Regis talking about the game: Whew, that was a close one guys. I can't believe this run is going so well. I guess we'll pick this bucket but I don't know guys. We just keep on getting these bad buckets.

honestly Regis had great play that entire game. That deck the opponent had looks like absolute shit to play against and I'm glad he won.

It is unfair to use hindsight to judge prior decisions in Hearthstone. But given hindsight, I think he would've been better off burning the vampiric blood because it would've given him the draw to clear the high damage minion that same turn, saving more life in the long run. That being said, he still made the right play. The odds of that secret being counterspell weren't great, and the upside of playing Looming Presence far outweighed the other line of testing with vampiric. Hindsight is 20/20 and sometimes chat is just wrong.

Fair to say it's inconclusive whether either action was correct during the Counterspell turn. Foregoing the Blood boil for 2 extra cards and a bit of armor may have drawn you into the Soulstealer/other useful cards sooner or could have given you nothing useful BUT it can also be argued you were going to draw into Soulstealer next turn with your chosen path & won had your opponent not discovered that treasure right at that moment. A better argument may have been towards not playing Corpse Bride if we wanted to be cautious of the crab but the risk was necessary to hopefully delay them long enough for a chance to win. It was a cool game & awesome to see that Blood Boil interaction either way!

Hey Regis , Iam a big fan of yours. I´ve been watching you since ungoro expansion and always liked they way you play hearthstone. Here´s the thing recently I found a really interesting deck with new Arcane bolt mechanic. Could you use a deck like this ??? Or maybe my decklist :) keep doing great videos 🥳🥳🥳

I honestly just concede against Reno in duels. It is not fun to play around so many secrets over and over again. Secrets are a fun mechanic when used sparingly, but when every single action you take is at risk, it isn't really playing around it at that point. It is hoping you have something to minimize risk and test. Over and over.

They should have taken a page out of Magic's book and just had Objection return the minion to hand without proccing Battlecry. It would still be a great secret if it did that, and it wouldn't make people cry half as much the sixth time in one game it came down

Hello Regis. do you have a place where you post your standard deck codes? and have you thought about doing a video where you try to give some insight on why you chose what cards you do in duels. i'd love to play it a bit more but feel like i can't figure out what cards would be needed and why when building a deck

That blood to ichor discussion, around 32:25 , Regis has a point. It's similar to how SC2 commentators have agreed that "lair" only has one pronunciation and has explicitly stated that every other dialect is wrong. They pronounce it like "layer", but there are other ways to say it. L-air is a very popular one.

Regis maybe try to get Heavy Armor with Blood Deathknight. It is not balanced like with the Priest max health increase. I had 35 health, was taking only 1 damage at a time and nearly endless healing. So hopefully they will fix this issue after you streamed it. 😂

Theorizing and then have your theory confirmed isn’t “using hindsight” as hindsight is looking back at the situation and using the knowledge you didn’t have when you made the decision. If what the chat did was “using hindsight” then Regis is also “using hindsight” to justify using looming presence because there wouldn’t have been that blood boil on mida. Which is arguably using hindsight more than the people that were theorizing. It’s odd to say that hearthstone players suffer from using hindsight while also using hindsight to justify the plays you made.

If someone says, "You should play around x outcome," you don't listen, and you lose... then they aren't Captain Hindsight, they are completely justified in saying, "I told you so." (Not for the others, yes, they have no right.) You were really insistent that you were right and they were wrong, for a guy who lost that game. You were even using hindsight to justify your position while chastizing those who used foresight to warn you. All told, you are the streamer and you must make the calls, but when you're wrong (demonstrated clearly by the outcome), you should have enough confidence to own that the call was wrong, even if you would have made it again in similar circumstances.

I believe you missed the point Regis was trying to make. Even if testing for the secret would've resulted in a win (which I'm not convinced it would have), Regis was still correct to play to his outs. I think there's some confusion about what "correct decision" means (is that "the line that appeared to have the best chance of winning at the time" or "the line that would've actually won in retrospect"?), but it's not an "I Told You So" situation either way. The best decision at the time was to take the line that had the most outs. His choice at that stage in the game amounted to "play risky and either eke out a win or lose big" or "play safe and definitely lose." That the risk ended up being "punished" is irrelevant if taking the risk was his only shot at that point, given how far behind he was. "Play it safe so you can lose in a less painful way" is not good advice, and doesn't earn the giver an "I Told You So." Without hindsight, Regis played to his outs, which was the correct decision to make. With hindsight, Regis was almost certainly doomed even if he had chosen to sacrifice the Blood Boil to push Looming Presence through. (As far as I can tell. I'm not going to try to simulate the exact sequence of plays that would've occurred had Regis gone with that line.) Save your I Told You So for when it's an insightful prediction (e.g. "You can tell it's a Counterspell because the opponent was comfortable committing a lot to the board, signaling that they trusted their secret to stop a board wipe") or at least when the unchosen line would've been a win.
@NatePrawdzik
@NatePrawdzik Жыл бұрын
@@temtempo13 Right, but saying, "I must take this risky line that could become a win because the safe line results in a slow loss," is valid only when you're correct in that assessment. Playing the odds is right, and yet someone wins the lottery megabucks every so often. Feel free to argue get their choice to play against the odds was wrong while they laugh at you all the way to the bank. Sometimes, the "technically" correct move is still the actually wrong one.
