Awesome job. I am born and raised In Aroostook County Maine. I live on West Chapman, Mapleton. Right next door to Presque Isle. At the very end of W. Chapman Rd. is known as swamp back or otherwise bloody half acres. In the late 1800s there was a hermit from Mapleton. He would head into town once a year one year they accuse the man of stealing a pair of boots. Officials went out to his place at the very end of W. Hammon Rd. known as swamp back a.k.a. swan back. When the officials approached this man’s house, allegedly he killed all three of the men, chopped them up into pieces and tried to discard of the remains in his woodstove. Word quickly spread. these men did not return home. Law-enforcement from all over headed out to the hermits place and want back a ratty old cabin in the woods upon looking at it you would think that it was abandoned, they subdued the hermit with a little effort. He was practically waiting. They brought him to town and hung him from an old maple tree. The tree is still standing there today right in the Mapleton river located right on Main Street here in Mapleton. A lot of folks stated that the man had superhuman powers because he took out three roughneck backwards, officers. Others stated upon arrival you could tell that a great war or fight had taken place in front of the Herman’s house. His house was tore all up. Everything was broken bullet holes everywhere and not one scratch on the man. poor guy. Many people say the boots was a made up lie. The man stole nothing. because he was different and chose to live differently they made him out to be a danger not to be trusted. It’s very sad what people r capable of

As a lifelong Alabama resident I can assure you we have black bear AND cougars. Many people in my county have pictures of bears in their yards and I have personally seen 3 cougars in 2 different Alabama counties. Never listen to the DNR about what is living in your state. They are told not to acknowledge anything that doesn't align with the accepted norm.

Wolfs are crossing from Canada to our backyards here in. Northern Maine. The wolfs are reportedly 150lbs. Roughly. I’m not sure if you know but that’s a big dog 150 pounds is big.
