I appreciate how Matt will often examine the animal and make observations based on what he sees as the viewer might. Quite a few times I’ve thought “what does that feel like?” only for Matt to touch the reptile’s back and describe it in relatable terms. I think it allows Kenan to get into his element where he shines without worrying as much about the camera/audience. Such a great addition!

I don't know how you micromanage hundreds of animals by yourself and catch all the fighting and medical issues before they get out of control unlike a lot of channels who call themselves animal rescues or sanctuaries and have unhealthy animals and a high number of deaths, it truly amazes me :-)

It IS possible to lovingly name an animal “Jerkface”. Lol🐢❤️
@davidvento5481 Жыл бұрын
I once had a box turtle named “Lil’ M.F.” The first thing he did after I purchased him (and he knew his future was secure) was to urinate all over me! This caused me to shout “you lil’ m... f...!” Of course I only ever used his initials and would tell people they meant “My Friend” lol. Then there was J.B. (Just a B*tch) lovingly named because she basically was one. She was small but ornery and would make repeated, unprovoked attacks on my biggest male “Eagle @ss” (not unlike “Jerk Face.”) We just called him “Eagle,” his choice of names was a long story...

There is one in every group, if only we could put the human variety in solitary, lol. I had to look it up but discovered turtle testicles (say that 5 times fast!) are tucked away in their body cavity. You are absolutely right about the long term consequences of abuse, including the fact that some children identify with the power of their abuser and become abusive themselves. If only we’d commit to good early intervention…

Omg; This YT animated music video was made with The Man... The Legend... Kenan in mind! The Music is lit and when I saw Matt in the animation I fell out! “Turtley Awesome Dude Flipbook Animation” is the name *“Dusty Douglas” is the creator* SCROLL DOWN *It’s the thumbnail of a “Turtle holding a Wrench” (line drawing) The (first?) colorful Sea Turtle is just the lyrics, no video* *This randomly appeared in my YT feed. I tried directly linking it here in comments but “no bueno.” I’m pretty stoic but I almost wet myself watching this, it would be a great theme song! A must-see for every “turtle nerd”* 😂

Paul has a Fly River he keeps in an aquarium that’s much too small for a turtle his size. I’ve only ever seen him sitting in the corner looking depressed. Paul could put that one in his pond, or better still make enclosures for his reptiles outside, he does live in Florida.
