Well it's just the first skin which is the event sword which is cat themed (and you see Rover use with a child's magical fantasy vibe). Also the invis weapons are just their way of adding a "hide weapon" feature and not the actual skins they'll be cooking up.

I think hiding the weapon is useful for characters that you end up using a weapon that doesn't match them, for example if you are using Xiangliyao weapon on lingyang, doesn't match at all id rather just be punching them with no weapon.

Yup. I think so too. But its not bad. I mean its a wise marketing move. Customization is normally treated as a privilege as its not actually necessary to play the game but makes it a little bit nicer. Tho knowing Kuro I think they'll be giving mid/good tier customisation once in a while for free(kinda like a demo for players to see what they can get, perhaps during some big updates,like new regions launch or smth) while fully monetizing high end(like advanced BP, asterite, bundles etc). And since we are already getting weapon skins, I guess we can expect Resonators skins too soon. Wohoo 😊

I think the special ult move is probably on for the units who are participating in the event. Since they're probably testing this out with this event, it doesn't make sense to dedicate that much time to create special moves for all the existing units. Maybe they'll commit into it if we enjoy it. I stand corrected if it's just the characters using an existing attack/ult again.

Its a free skin to tell you " oh we are going to be releasing purchaseable weapon skins in the future", Its not really a great skin but its free so i dont really care. It will only include some of the characters you can choose, i think like 7 or 8, and will add more characters in each patch. I think a weapon skin system could work in gacha games. Make it so any weapon which you own and fully level up becomes available as a skin. This will provide an incentive for players to spend currency to collect any weapon they love the design of. Also, this system will provide an additional incentive for players to spend more time playing the game to enhance all the weapons to max for more weapon skin options.

I can understand the use of an invisible weapon skins so that some characters look like they're just boxing or whatever, but would be sick to have a neon outlined skin. I think that free skin CAN look good on a character that has the same color scheme (like encore for example), but not for any sword characters we have rn. BUT it's not gonna be our only new weapon skin so yeah. As for the invisible weapons which btw only the rectifier and the gauntlets are invisible, it makes sense especially for the rectifiers to make them completely invisible. I think we really don't want a flying satellite next to us imo. It gives the rectifier characters more of a spellcaster feel. Same with the gauntlets kinda. Xiangli Yaos limited weapon looks dope asf on him, but what about the ugly 4 stars or even the standard banner 5 star? They look soooo bad 90% of the time. All in all, I am a little bit disappointed with the new pink weapon skin, but i can see people like it and I can see the potential for future weapon skins, especially if we have a bunch of them to choose from.

Yo I hadn't even thought about rectifiers, your argument is really good as sometimes the rectifiers do look kinda out of place, even if it's the signature weapon of that character. Making them invisible would really give them that spellcaster vibe and now I can't wait to test it. Also, I'm sure we'll get 5* skins in the future, which to be fair will most likely be shop only, but might look really amazing, so that's something to look forward to.

1.4 is looking dope. I think the weapon hiding thing is cool because I don't like how some of the lower tier weapons look on the characters since I don't have many 5-star weapons. Also keep in mind it hides rectifiers, which I think is fine since it's basically just a floating trinket that doesn't actually play into the characters' movesets. As for the weapon skin, it's not for me but the mechanic itself shows they will continue adding weapons skins, so I don't mind it. I'm sure the paid weapon skins will be WAY cooler too.

It it's available only during certain time and you can't purchase it after the event, it's worth more than E6S5 character. Anyone can drop 2000€ at anytime to get E6S5. Tbf the pulls they’re giving are strictly for limited character banners; the weapon banner used another currency. However, the standard banner pulls are better because the standard banner weapons aren’t as exclusive to the character they were designed for. Especially the sword and pistol, they’re great. The weapon skin isn't just a skin (I think). It is a 4-star sword we get from completing the event. They were just showing off how the new weapon skin system works and that you can skin your sword with other swords you have (or maybe only skin your weapon with certain other weapon skins, which i hope isn't the case. I hope you can use any sword weapon skin you own to be put on any sword you own).

The event weapon is both a weapon and a skin. You can see in the reward preview of said event that the sword is shown twice. One is the sword, the other is the skin. Otherwise they would've communicated that to prevent confusion.
