@clayfleming62863 жыл бұрын
You need to get properly fit for all of them and test that way. Testing the sim 2 with your custom shaft vs the other 2 with off the rack shafts of course leads to a scenario where you can go harder at the sim. My takeaway would be if the Ping with a stock shaft is that competitive would could it do with a fit?
@gary-gt-tsang3 жыл бұрын
The shaft he's using in the SIM2 is also a stock/off the rack shaft from the previous year for the SIM driver so he's testing stock shafts with all three drivers. He should get two more versions of the Diamana shaft and tip them with a Ping and Callaway adapter to do this testing. That way with the shaft being the same, he can truly test which driver head is best for his bag since he really likes the Diamana shaft.
@clayfleming62863 жыл бұрын
@@gary-gt-tsang I remember correctly he was fitted to the shop though, even though it is a sock shop. Could be misremembering, that is very possible. Fitted for each of them, the identical shaft In all three would not necessarily produce great results because the Ping has a much heavier head and needs a counter balanced shaft.
@chrisgilligan49683 жыл бұрын
@@gary-gt-tsang Definitely should have been testing like for like. Half inch longer and lighter shaft will definitely give more clubhead speed. There's no way I'm buying that a dialed in SIM is 20 yards longer than and equally dialed in Callaway. No tour players would be playing Callaway drivers if that were the case. You can't give up 20 yards on tour due solely to equipment.

@@clayfleming6286 I can't remember either and very good point regarding the heavier head of the Ping driver head. One thing I can see in your choice selection is your BELIEF and when you FEEL comfortable i.e the shorter length shaft suited you as you felt comfortable and confident. The thought and feeling process transmits to the body - you are a dynamic energy machine and the muscles get programmed by your thoughts - your brain is the government of the body - cultivate a good government and you will achieve the best of your technical ability but more importantly you will have FUN - hesitation and indecision produce 2 conflicting energy patterns = a bad outcome/shot. Go with how you feel and what gives you confidence, if it is 1" shorter shaft then go with that as it overrides the tech data you can play with both but your confidence is the most important element.
