they say if you can produce enough thrust you can make anything, no matter how un aerodynamic it is, fly. The hiss and hum really adds to the ambiance.

I grew up playing these Yamaha boards the one featured in this video was my first..... later followed by the PSR 280 these are the boards that got me started, people who are starting out I think these boards are great....the boards are limited, however, you are only limited by your own creativity. I made multi track recordings using two tape decks running the boards through guitar pedals, that kind of discipline I acquired through necessity made me a better player, thanks Yamaha.😊

Great to see the master at work once again, clearly you're busy with other projects but fantastic to see you making the pss-380 sing on KZbin. The small keys seem to be not a problem to you at all, inspiring as always....Thankyou.

My first “Real” keyboard was a Yamaha Psr 520. IT WAS AMAZING.!! I worked really hard and got my money up and bought it.

Awesome mate! the 520 is way more advanced that this one i think, with proper PCM sounds and stuff right? Cheers and keep up the great music!

The PSS series is one of my favorite groups of FM synthesizers. I have the PSS-480 and used to have a 290 and a couple others. I love the lush soundscape you've created here.

Great vibes, I just bought a Beringer neutron as my first analog mono synth but I still find myself returning to the pss 480 for the lush FM pads and polyphony haha, probably the best small keyboard to learn FM synthesis on and I got mine for £20! 😭👍

Eu tive um PSS-680 em 1989. Mas ele durou pouco tempo, apenas 6 meses e apresentou defeito. Ainda tenho um Casio CT-510 de 1987 que funciona perfeitamente.

@@BURG the 8 faders to control the FM engine was definitely a pro feature, my only concern was that it didn't come with midi therefore i was unable to connect it with my c64! :)

@@neonvoid So true!! Yeah, midi is a bit of a miss if needed in a proper setup. I do however just love the way it sounds, and use it for noodling and other fun stuff. :D
