Paul Washer is the truest speaking preacher I've ever heard. Millions of people are going around every day thinking they're saved. Some of them are not truly saved. I truly love and admire Jesus in you pastor always have, my love for the lost consumes me, i cry everyday on the bus at home, i have to beg God to keep me from weeping uncontrollably in the coffee shop i go everyday just to pray for the lost, everyone i lay my eyes on i know only one out of a hundred are saved and really know and love Jesus, the time of judgment has come to the western nations of the world, actually to all nations now, but as a street minister im still going out to the lost forgotten and discarded people that the church and society have given up on, but i know theres still a remnant of those people who don't even know what day it is, let alone read a track, so im going with the love of Jesus in and through me, every day to win there trust give them something to eat a few dollars for coffee and i will love them and they will know it, then when they let me hug them, I'll pray deliverance healing and win them to Christ as i share the gospel with it's power to save,

My grandfather taught me that if I visit a church, and the pastor doesn’t mention sin, repentance, and the blood of Jesus within 3 sermons to never go back. I have been attacked for believing this. Yep, I prayed a prayer to get saved. After being given the gospel I told the church worker I would think about it and given a gospel track with The Sinner's prayer. I did think and dwell and read scriptures shared and t just made sense God had my best interest at heart. What did I do? I wrote my own gospel prayer as it was written on two pages (Back and front)and half another page. Took it to church and that is what I prayed to get saved. When did this happen? 1985 when I was 13 years old. I sometmes wonder the age of those who choose to condemn me. I sometimes think I am older spiritually in the Lord than some of those who have condemned me who in actual age might be 25, 30, 35 years old and in the Lord, I am 39. (51 years old in life). I love Paul Washer and listened and have been blessed by many of his sermons. I will tell you this, was not long after I was saved that God's Spirit testified to my spirit that I was a child of God! What I would encourage people to do...do not judge because their salvaton experience does not sound like yours and just felt it needed to be said.

I agree with PW, that there are great numbers of people who "think" they are truly saved but are not. What bothers folks is when a preacher stands at a pulpit, and says things like ," half the people in this congregation only THINK they are saved". I have heard PW say this on more than 2 different sermons (easily), and thus creating doubt or lack of assurance, in people, which can result in people thinking "I need to "work harder" to make sure I'm saved. Therein lies the problem. Short version: If people live a lifestyle of HIGH HANDED sin, even if they prayed the prayer and got baptized, they probably ain't gonna make it. (easy believe-ism). If one doesn't aspire to and humbly commit to holiness, that person likely wasn't truly converted. I'm 62 now... got saved at 40...backslid, but returned to God begging for mercy. God will have mercy on whom HE has mercy on. If a person is saved (truly), then Christ will see that salvation to its completion. Salvation is a GIFT.

As a South-African, a reborn Christian truly on a daily base, he spoke right straight into my heart. I wish there were more preachers like him, not smoothtalking everybody, but cut clean to the bone. What's happening in America, is happening in South Africa. Repentance have to be on a daily base. I know I once lived a very wrong life sinning almost openly. Even though I grew up in a pastor's house, under the force of pretending how a good Christian should be, I failed terribly. Thinking back many years ago, I only see a filthy young woman in stinking rags. God grabbed me on a wonderful way, although it took me almost 60 years to be where I am now by the grace of God. The very day I was introduced to the teachings of R.C. Sproul, and onwards all the more new teachings of several preachers, the sky above me lit up, and God came truly into my life. Now I can't keep quiet about the truth, I just can't stop praising God for his salvation, I just wish more people could share this wonderful joy and peace God revealed to me. I want to thank Him day and night for this wonderful way He put me on the day He saved me.

You are putting a very great prove of salvation on works in the life of a Christian, but only God sees the heart and the true faith of His believers. How about this, He washes us through His Word. (I am not even concerned for myself because I am in Christ and walk in the Spirit) My concern is lack of Truth in the preaching about this washing He does in us. The Truth is, for many, it takes years, sometimes He gives us over to our sins to bring us to a more Christ like existence. The Truth is, of a young believer never learns the Word and some preacher constantly beats them up and makes them feel like maybe they aren't "saved" instead of teaching them the glory of God's Grace and how his kindness leads us to repentance. Some believers get salvation many times in their life, but the gift of eternal life is once for all from before the foundation of the world. Christ says His sheep hear His voice and that He will not lose one that the Father has given Him. A pastor preaching fear to His sheep are the Pharisees of today. Grace is Grace, not the ability to repent(of your sins). Good fruit is Truth, don't you think? The Bible says that even his (the satan) ministers are ministers of righteousness. If they do not lay out the Gospel as is laid out in the book of John, don't listen. I truly hope this helps.

Friend, No it’s not. The gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬ If you believe Jesus paid for your sins and rose again on 3rd day according to the Bible, you are sealed with Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14) and know you have eternal life (1 John 5:13). Washer is right in that saying a prayer or inviting Jesus into your heart does not save us. What saves us is believing that he did that for us. Jesus did all the work. He just wants you to believe that. John 3:16-17 Repent means to change mind. Change your mind and go from believing in your own works, righteousness, holy living etc, to trusting in Jesus alone (Acts 16:31)

Those few verses are a brief summary of the full gospel Paul preached to them previously. Please don't make the mistake of assuming that 1 Corin 15:1-4 is the full saving gospel message - it's not. That's just a brief gospel summary. And Biblical repentance is more than just someone simply changing their own mind. Biblical repentance includes godly sorrow and remorse for the sins you've committed against God. It's crying out to God to forgive you and save you from those sins because you place your trust in Jesus' sacrifice to pay for those sins. You deciding on a simple mind change, does not save you. When God saves you, He changes your heart! Please do a study on Biblical repentance and try not to get your Bible doctrine from KZbin watchmen - most of them are not qualified Bible teachers.

Yes, there are many who say with assurance that they are saved because the Bible tells them so. They have read the cruel suffering , unjust crucification of the Son of God, our Creator, dying in our place and giving us forgiveness and eternal life. Yes. A sinner is to repent IS the gospel. I thank the preacher carrying out the Great Commission and spreading the Good News. More churches and even Christians have watered down the most important command. I respect Washer. As a sensitive to tone person, I do wish he could speak a little kinder. Some might change the channel as he can sound angry with the yelling. Could be a trigger for a bad childhood yelling father or a husband who beats his wife (neither my case) or yells at her. I do hope Washer could consider being kinder in his delivery as to not offend while delivering God's word. I did have to turn him off because I truly felt I was being yelled at. Please stop appearing so angry. It is hard to sit before that. Bless you pastor.

You have to know the meaning of believe. In the everyday sense of the word, what do you mean by believe in someone? It is that meaning except “Christians” apply a different meaning of believe when it comes to Jesus. The Greek meaning of believe and the Hebrew meaning of believe is the same. So doing a word study in both Hebrew and Greek is useful. For the Jews, repent of their unbelief, actually they do understand about the Messiah , read the Gospels, they knew their stories, and when Jesus quoted scriptures, they were angry, because the Pharisees knew what he was talking about. But they refused him. They do not want to let go of their pride and sin. Their adultery etc

@3BadBostons Sorry, which part did he change? I dont listen to Paul Washer -- and not the whole of his sermon -- much, but he preaches holiness. Also, i am not a Calvinist. Here is something to ponder : Even as he spoke, many believed in him. - in John Gospel-- these are the very same people who wanted to kill him in the end. What did they believe ? And did they not believe? Read John Chapter 8.

Both groups are in the same location(much like in these days) About Washer, it is more than holiness, he preaches you must repent of your sins for the gift and that of you're really "saved" you're life will automatically be holy.

If father gave you a car, you have a car. If you obtain righteousness, you are righteous. A fruit is recognised by its fruit. If you do not live in the manner Christ instructed, you do not bear his image, he is the first fruit and you are certainly not a fruit recognisable by God if it does not look like Christ. The grace is the ability to repent, that is to change your mind. The truth shall set you free. So if you have a sin, you gain freedom by God delivering (rescuing) you from the sin. You do not want to sin that particular sin. Is that what you mean by automatic? Sin includes things we do not do. It is not intellectual assent. It is a heart thing. God judges your heart. That is really what is all about. If you harbour sin in your heart, you have sin. Jesus comes to clean us up. Clean means clean allowing his work of sanctification

Washer preaches the false gospel of repent of sins + believe to be saved. Believe on Jesus and be saved today! So simple and easy and God made it that way because he loves you and wants you to go to heaven. If we commit one sin we are guilty of all (James 2:10). You have to be perfect to go to heaven and that’s why you have to trust in what Jesus did because he is perfect (2 Corinthians 5:21)

But even after we are saved, we still have this flesh and will commit a lot of sins to some extent until we die or are raptured. The average person has 60,000 thoughts a day. According to Proverbs 24:9, a foolish thought is a sin. Even if I am appearing to live a very Godly life if 10% of those thoughts are foolish in the eyes of God that’s 6,000 sins. The point of the law is to get people to realize they can’t keep it and place their faith in Jesus alone as savior. (Galatians 3:25)

Christ never preached repent of sin. Christ preached repent and live in the Kingdom of God now, not after you die. And the Jews thought the Messiah will come and kick out the Romans very soon. Washer has adopted Judaism/gospel/Apostle Paul's garbage. We are to live in the Kingdom now. Living in the Kingdom now is forgiving those that have hurt and attacked you, with out the offender even asking to be forgiven.
