I got an CR-10 SE as my first 3D printer and its been great experience as a newbie. Yes it is noisy but 1) I have an extra room and the cheap cover helps dampen it, but 2) I dont have a lot of time and needed some quick wins to motivate me. Plus I just couldnt image waiting 2 to 3 times as long for simple builds to print. So the speed and ease of printing is def a huge plus!

Hmm, I definitely wouldn’t want to build a shedload of rhinos or anything…

how about a rhino load of sheds?

Well ... the noise is probably trade off for speed. You need powerful fans cooling plastic which is comming off at larger amount per second. Still have to thank you for talking about Neptune 3, when it came off. I never had 3D printer before, and as of now I had no "random" failures. Only probles were if I did not clean well the plate of the dusts and stuff (when want to print something after longer break)

As another enthusiastic amateur, the stringing may be due to retraction settings. Basically the filament isn't retracting enough (or at all), so as it moves over empty space it drips out and webs. (Like a hot glue gun dripping as you move it away or let it sit)

I have one and am having a terrible time with adhesion. I can get the test prints to work, but nothing else so far.

That happened to me at 1st, after my test prints. So I started cleaning the bed well with Isopropyl Alcohol before every print and used either auto brim or a raft under bed adhesion. At one point I designed my own headphone desk clip and It kept warping and coming off the bed until I figured out that I had design flaws that were not allowing my design to lay flat on the bed so I just added proper supports where the design wasn't flat on the bed and that was it, no problems now!! So for me, I had to make sure the designs were always flat on the bed and always check for needed supports!! Still learning myself but I thought I would share just in case it might help!! Good Luck!!! And ps. I havent had to use them but the purple glue sticks on Amazon are supposed to help if needed. Most prints should stick to those PEI magnetic beds pretty well

For me, it came from the factory with wildly improper z-offset. Make sure to grab a z-offset test print, and go into the settings and adjust the z-axis offset while its printing to get a good print. The second issue I had was with the first layer not adhering because of temp, so right now i print the creality pla with 210C nozzle and 60C bed temp. And of course, the retraction settings are important. If you use creality print slicer, there are some calibration prints for retraction. I tried these fixes and was able to easily get good bed adhesion - without using glue or bed adhesives (Also make sure the bed is free of dust and oil!).

I suspect it's not actually 600ms print speed more like 200ms the 600ms would just be the head moving speed when not actually printing Also that is pretty loud my ender 3 and ender5 S1 are pretty quiet

Must not print T800's, Orks or Xenomorphs abit close to GW's mini's 🤑

Well, you wouldn't print that stuff with FDM printers. The layer lines ruin small models so those are still resin printer stuff.

Creality stuff is pretty hit or miss. Their customer service is awful as well. I prefer Neptunes and Bambu P1Ps.
