Hi! COVID nurse here! Please don’t try to “sweat out” your fever! This is a common misconception, that is actually very dangerous. The best thing you can do for your body is to help cool it down. Shed your layers, ice pack (or cool washcloths) under your arms and in your groin, no head coverings or socks, with a cool room. Hope this helps for next time!

Nurse here too.....there are so many elderly that still believe in this method. I remember having chicken pox as a child and my great grandmother (who was a retired nurse) had me sleeping on top and covered with with electric blankets. I still vividly remember hallucinating at one point....I'm still amazed I'm still alive 😆😆

I had covid, got over the worst part in 2 days... the Chills and Fever, but the shortness of breath and deep cough are still there. Actually had a coughing fit last night and i've been 2 days out of isolation. It's nice though that the cruse line did their best to take care of you guys to prevent further spread and to actually care for their staff.

We had foggers at the start of COVID for elevators when we had a dedicated COVID wing in our health center. Though that protocol didn't work all that well for new admits or returning residents admitted to the COVID wing. The oddest thing is most of my staff is vaccinated included myself yet we still go it. Free wifi while in isolation is awesome.

I just watched this older video. Brings back so many memories of my “Covid cruise”. On a Mediterranean 12 night cruise that turned into 31 days. I went into the 10 day quarantine which overlapped to the next cruise. I got out with a certificate of recovery to fly home, and my husband tested positive. He then went in for his 10 days. So a 12 night turned into 31 dats, only 11 of which my husband and I were together. Seeing you get your meals and the hallway table just brings back so much. The daily dr visit in his hazmat suit. The garbage that had to go in a special bag. I was in the red zone on the third floor in the Celebrity Reflection. I was sick. My husband was not. A trip I’ll never forget…. I really enjoy all your videos.

I think the balcony air compression think is that there is higher air pressure outside because the air is warmer. The ship air is cooler. When the balcony is open air from the outside pressurizes the room and blows room air into the hallway. They don't want any of the room air to go into a common area. If you think about it you can hear the whistle under the front door sometimes. The cabins have HEPA filters in the room located in the square box On the ceiling in the center of the room. You can see the white edges of them.

Hi Jordan, first off I hope you continue to feel better each day. I hear some folks having long term repercussions after having Covid-19. When my family had our first injection my husband and daughter had no problems. My son and I became mildly sick with a fever of 101° F. When we had our second injection my son and I were sick again. Although this time I had a fever of 103.3° F and my son had a fever 101° F. My head was pounding seriously, I was very nauseous, had chills and vertigo. My son and I stayed in our beds for a couple of days. Months later we had our booster shots and we all did quite well. I hate to imagine what it would be like without the vaccinations. Take care of yourself and take it slow back into your daily routine.

So good to hear you are doing better and Q hasn't been too bad. I was a little worried when I got the news on IG. The Washington Post had an article about cruise ship crew & performers in Q, and they were treated horribly. Water was hard to get and the meals looked like leftover garbage from buffets... One photo of a meal was a hard boiled egg, bread and a shriveled orange with mold! Get well and hoping you have no lasting effects!☺️🤞

I’m recovering as well. I had covid like 2 years ago too and this time it’s been worse. Horrible headache and fever that have lasted days. The chills and body aches were miserable and now I’m just dealing with pretty bad congestion, sore throat, and my sinuses just hurt so bad so I’m having a headache from that but I am getting better. It sucks man. I just came across your video on my recommended, I hope you’re doing well now! I’m looking forward to being healthy and being able to return to my normal life. Being sick stuck at home is depressing.
