@3:21 "That is the danger of living close to a Micro Centre". Using Google Maps, the distance between Greenville and Charlotte comes to about 150Km. That is SIX islands lengths where I come from!!! Where you live where I do the only 'close' place is the next town else everything is far. Amazon 24 hr shipping does not even exist and unless Bezos starts using Blue Origin for deliveries it never will.

My basics are I don't like cross development, that is, compiling on one device and running on another. I would prefer to do all development on one machine, even if it is not the fastest. Also, all my base development is on Linux, so the machine has to run Linux. We have been here before. ARM makers flirted with regular motherboards, but seemed to have given it up and gone to servers only. Yes, there are promising ARM MBs out there now, we will see.

Its where desktops were 30 years ago. Boring. What we need is a good low cost soldier together breadboard kit of a 6502 microprocessor (or similar) with all the correct ICs and components, so we can REALLY build our own computers, not just plug a bunch of lego pieces together and, spend hours debugging their interface kinks (and in the process learn little of value), and then think we are creating something. Give us some REAL engineering.

I just want an easily accessible Ampere setup... Been trying to get my hands on just the tiny 32 core variant, but with Ampere not responding and Asrock Rack not clearly specifying if the CPU is included or not, it's difficult to find a way to build my own Ampere server. So annoying ._.

I believe the iFixit 32 kit has the cheap plastic driver while the Mako has the all metal driver.

Mac M4 is still cheaper, more energy efficient. Sum up the cost of the eGPU dock, video card, power supply and Raspberry Pi

1:12 there's a caveat to this claim. it's the best value if you don't upgrade ram/storage. Doing that severely degrades the value proposition.

Do you lack money? why not purchase it? Instead of this "LMG just shipped one of these over". 1:47 I get that integrity varies acroos the globe, but hee in Scandinavia.. if you wanna come acroos as unbias partically as an influencer trying to push up on soemthing.. keep yourself in check, and maybe just maybe.. purchase the item, so you atleast have your own coins behind it. But knowing Linus sebastian and Canada as a whole these years.. I dont think you can come further from the aspect of integrity, backbone when it comes to influencing after lowest common denominator..but maybe its some weird aspect of "culture" as certain regions is very nepotistic based..but again..here in Denmark this "influencing greasing with sale incentive, is hmm frown upon..

I don't understand the video at all I have to admit. I expected an overview of what you can do with a Windows PC that you would expect you need a Raspi for, not what the Raspi can do that every PC can do (better). Who buys a Raspi for KZbin watching or Office??? Did I miss something?

shows again, that Linus just copies stuff and thinks he made it better but at the end I never ever would by from Linus or what ever company he has. Even the other screw driver you have from him, is nothing new. I still have mine from 40 years ago and it still works.

i had experience in those factories. Many will be NG even at the step of stick, remove a tape, it still can be NG. The important thing is design an auto inspection system with high accuracy to seperate NG and OK product.
