i can‘t believe how many parallels we both have: i have dermatillomania (face, shoulders, arms and back), i just had to remove some kidney stones in august, had a stent for one month, that was really painful, and i have a chocolate devon rex (ginny) together with a cinnamon tabby devon rex (wilma). i am sending you love from switzerland ❤ (btw. i never found anything to stop my skin picking)

I found this really fascinating , especially the connection to OCD , anxiety and stress. I’ve done this since childhood also , but didn’t know it had a name. I could totally relate to not wanting little bumps etc and compulsively trying to remove them. My Dad was always saying “Don’t pick your face!” I’m now over 70 and have a disorder caused by a worn out nervous system. I also share your history with period pain and anxiety. My daughter is in her 30s and has the same symptoms. We also each have a Devon Rex cat and find their cuddles so supportive, which brought me to your channel. By the time you’re my age maybe they will figure out what causes these life long syndromes. My daughter and I have had successful careers and few know of these problems but thank you so much for sharing your story! Marley is adorable, as is our Roxy who is a black and white bi-color with green eyes.

Sending you all the love. My best tip is using the Hydrocolloid blemish patches to stop you from being able to pick. I use them on my face and hands! Also really helps with scarring! Thank you for sharing this lovely xxxx

You can get some really fun ones in Superdrug and boots now like flowers and stars, which would work as cute plasters on your hands xx

I’ve got it too, along with my mom, my sister and my dad. It’s so embarrassing when people notice it, but I’ve yet to find a sustainable solution to stop.

Wow you all have it! I can't tell you how many different things I have tried that I didn't mention in the video and nothing seems to help me stop for good. 😞
