I have a ceramic coating question. Can fine scratches be buffed or polished off ceramic? We have bad detailers here in Michigan, all give different answers. Love learning from you . Great show. Thank you, Karen
@@apexdetail85 Thanks for the answer, I've been told I would have to remove all the ceramic off my truck just to buff out 2 fine 1" scratches. I guess I am going to invest in a buffer, I have watched a lot of your videos. Wish me luck. It's a black Colorado.
@stephen15033 жыл бұрын
Well, what you define as “fine” and what a detailer defines as fine may be two different things. They also may not want to risk removing your $1,000+ coating job for the sake of just 2 scratches. It’s safe to assume most customers would be more upset about that.

I had to buy this as soon as I saw the video a few weeks ago. I understand the desire to develop and use a soap like this. For the most part, I like it. My only complaint is that it's too thick. That makes it difficult to pour it all out of the measuring cup and get it fully mixed in the bucket. I used to think that there was a direct correlation between viscosity and lubricity. However, some of the slickest soaps I've ever used poured out of the bottle like water. On the flip side, this is one of the thickest soaps I've ever used and the lubricity was only mediocre. My suds didn't really last that long either.

From experience, never use a pressure washer that has tips that just 'click' in. Have your tips screw in, so they NEVER come out. About 15 years ago I was using the tips that 'click in'. Let just say it didn't 'click' and shot out and shattered a brand new lexus SUV rear window. Fortunately the owner was understanding, the detail gods were on my side that day. After that I alway used wash guns that have tips that screw in. I had been detailing for 10 years prior to this disaster happening. Hope this saves someone. Love Apex, videos are top tier.

For detailer efficiency I train them to simply click in the tip and always test spray once away from the customers car towards the ground. It's a proactive approach detailers use to a known costly mistake.

This should work for you , I found the answer to not having to wash the car ever really once I got my paint corrected and happy with the results I used the last coat ceiling the paint and I'm sure you can seal it with anything you'd like that works for you and one thing I do every morning on the way to work before I go in to my job my car is parked I take a micro fiber cloth that I found at Walmart that is highly recommended to use the antibacterial one no lint and I shamie down all the due That's on the car to my surprise doing this now over 3 weeks I have yet to have to wash my car there are no streaks no leftover watermarks The car stays just as good as if you washed it and shampooed it very little dust at the end of the day So this is a win-win because it only takes roughly 3 minutes to do compared to washing their car every other day to keep it in this type of condition we're talking a huge savings of time and chemicals lol try it you'll like it I'm telling you it works 100%

It’s cool you have a shampoo homage. But don’t be knocking scents and colors. They are indicators and identifiers, very helpful when you have dozens and dozens of products on your shelf or in your detailing vehicle storage. If all products were scent and dye free (silly or not) there would be … hmm … mistakes made. I know this is a long winded reply and you didn’t mean your comments in an inflammatory way, so I’m not trying to be argumentative or a smart ass. I’m just saying that there are reasons for the dyes and scents. You know that, I know you do. I agree that most companies take the dyes and/or scents to the extreme (unnecessarily) and I wish they’d stop. The soap DOES look legit, though. Not going to lie, I’ll probably pick some up soon.

Definitely can agree with you there... good thing there was a vacancy in the "no color, no scent" department. It made it very easy to separate from "the herd" of bubblegum and grape scented soaps, lol! A company I used to work with, sometimes had issues mislabeling the same colored chemicals... it can be dangerous, especially when dealing with some of the more caustic chemicals. That being said, Brian identified and area that could maybe use a "no frill" product and thus Apex Auto Wash was created. And trust me... once you use this soap... there'll but NO confusing it with any other soap out there. Brian certainly knows what he's doing!!!! WOW!

Someone could clean the “dirtiest” car in the world and someone would still say it’s not that dirty where they live. It’s subjective and the cameras can lie. It’s soap don’t overthink it.

@@stephen1503 you can always get close shots with the camera this soap its like any other of the hundreds of the market you guys need to really show up how soaps really pull dawn the dirt I know Lot of guys that really shows that just don’t confuse people with the name shampoos it’s ridiculous

My car sat for three months under a fruit tree just to prep to test these cars! WOW! I did a presoak and then a wash mitt contact wash. Even the dried on fruit came right off! I was stunned! It's my daily driver to, so I can assure you it was trashed!

Well, it is nice that you can afford multiple mitts at 30 bucks a piece. But I can't. So grit guard it is.

$30 wash mitts😋 I have a single "nice" one and still use those upgraded grit guards and I'll never look back because I've never had an issue😇

Cyclone Microfiber Mitts/Pads are totally affordable @ $4-$12/each depending on how many you buy at once on Amazon. For a contact soap wash I use 4 large pads and 2 mitts in a single bucket with a $15 Wal-mart roller bucket bottom. My dirties get set aside to be rinsed out with hose after each job, then put in a clean water 5 gallon bucket with a Detail Gaurdz Dirt Loc in the bottom and a few ounces of rinseless wash in the water to soften up dirt for final washing later at home in Tide free & gentle. Simple!
