Byleth deserved the spot more than anyone else in this pack given the success of Three Houses and actually being a Nintendo rep. Fire Emblem at this point has grown exponentially since then and you know they were eventually gonna get in Smash. And they gave him a varied moveset to boot. I'm honestly sick of all the complaining at this point.

Byleth looks like an interesting fighter in terms of weapon diversity... but it isn't a good character to round off the first Fighter's Pass. Every other character was Third Party and was representing a new franchise in Smash; this just feels out of place in comparison. If Byleth had been the first fighter in the SECOND Fighter's Pass, I think it would've gone better since it would imply that first party additions to the roster were viable now that the strong third Party admissions were finished.
