This!! I’m obsessed with this deck! I love that it’s anthropomorphic & the art & animals are simply stunning! The card stock is amazing & the guidebook is perfection! Perfect size for small hands and has a matte feel to them. They shuffle like butter! I needed to give this a chance at first, I was really hooked & like bonded to another deck of mine, but when I went back & picked this one up (I own 3 oracles & 7 tarot decks lol) I knew it would quickly become a fav! I’m sooo stoked I’m seeing more people post about it. I love the *playfulness* & the color palette, the imagery on these is everything! I chose *of course* the fool 2.0 as my familiar! Haha I always loved the fool & love that it’s like the “very beginning” like the fools journey! He/she starts from the beginning & I think it’s so fun! & funky! Chris Anne outdid herself with this one. I only have this one from her but a friend of mine has the others from her & im obsessed with those also! Very very cool deck IMO! I bought this deck as soon as it came out! I was going through a depression and this deck was my make me smile and giggle deck. It has a special place in my heart and I will need a back up. I was so happy to see you talk about it though ;) my fave is the 5 of pentacles. Such a different perspective.

I think it is so interesting how some people are like "I love this deck" while others are like, "Seriously I'll pass on that one". I feel like I have turned a corner in my deck buying because I've bought enough to know which ones I will click with and which ones I won't when I see the walk throughs (Artwork, guidebooks, cardstock all make a difference to me). My budget is glad I'm at this stage. :) And I am so grateful for the walkthroughs!

I haven’t watched a walkthrough because I didn’t think I liked the art but it definitely grew on me. I also didn’t think I’d like the focus on the people, but since they are chimeras of sorts I enjoyed them a lot. I loved the outfits!

Perfect timing. This has been on my shelf unopened for sometime. I opened it a week ago and was charmed. The cards surely have unique voices. I also noticed what I thought was different card stock too and rook out my Light Seers to compare. HA! I am still disappointed in the small difference but it is not going anywhere. My borders are off but no where near as much as yours. I will always be amazed at how you sometimes you think a deck is not for you and you give way if for some reason it stays on you mind and you are pleasantly surprised. Even if I only use this deck for a period of time and pass it on later it was still worth the purchase to me.

macaroni penguin is one of the eight species of crested penguins. It is most closely related to the royal penguin, and shares the same scruffy golden yellow crest feathers. Coati is pronounced co-ah-tee, and they're like a south-american raccoon. I like to think of these characters like the animal headed Egyptian gods

LISA PAPEZ! the two of wands, the doorway is another card!!!!!! So cool. I hope that comes up in the guidebook. I am not an animal deck lover. Probably because my very first deck ever was the wild unknown and that's not a newbie friendly deck, and it made learning difficult and now we have bad blood, me and that deck, but this one is soooooo RWS friendly. I kinda love it.

I definitely find the deck whimsical. I worked with this deck in March and never realized that the boarders were off center. Had to go and grab it to check and found portions of the deck I have are definitely not centered as well. 🤔🧐

I was very turned off by this deck at first glance, but then something called me to revisit that, and I bought it (almost grudgingly). When it arrived, I was almost mad at myself for spending the money on it… until I opened it. And then, wow! And Chris-Anne does such a good job with the extras she provides on her website. IMO, it is definitely worth the time to go and engage with the path working meditations that go with this deck. You’re feeling that the characters are “talking to you” is an intentionally designed aspect of the deck. So, so good. (Not sharing a link because the last time I did that KZbin suppressed my comment, but you can get there from the guidebook.) As far as the production quality, though, I agree with you. Boo.

I think the peahen is usually brown, while the peacock is usually colourful blue teal. He is colourful and attract a mate with its massive tail feathers. They both have the head feather thingy. 🦚

That’s so funny ! After having zero interest in this particular deck it suddenly called to me very loudly and I have almost purchased this deck three times in the last two months. It sits in my Amazon cart right now. I was barely able to hold out the last couple of weeks. Now I am curious if this video will send me over the edge. I have my reheated coffee in hand and a tedious organization task ahead of me. Thank you for providing a nice distraction to get me through the next forty-five minutes! I was hesitant to get this deck at first. I love Chris Ann’s work and I own all her tarot and oracle decks, but I wasn’t sure about this one for awhile after it came out. I was going to take a hard pass on it until I came across Chris Ann’s site for this deck. I was actually blown away with it. I have 10 tarot decks and this one has been my go to deck ever since I got it.

I returned it, getting a replacement thats is supposed to arrive Thursday. I will switch out the cards if some of those are bent as well, then return the first copy.

Oh my goodness! I’m so happy you bought this, and it was such a joy watching this and hearing you light up with the images. I saw this once on IG and it was stunning, so I immediately bought this. It’s one of my favorite animal decks and the guidebook is fantastic. I too got some cards that were cut funny. I wanted to take it back and get a new deck, but I ran out of time. So I'm an animals person, BIG TIME. Have been my entire life. I've got multiple animal Oracle and Tarot decks. First, I was totally turned off by this deck. I'm typically not interested in animal heads on people bodies. It's just weird and off to me. But then I saw this deck in a couple #PerfectPairs videos and I decided I do actually like this deck and now have some ideas for deck pairings. I'll be getting this deck, but I'm going to wait for the next Hay House 40-50% off sale. That way, if I don't use it much I won't have paid full price for it. Yes, the 4/Wands is a Penguin. It's just not an Emperor Penguin, which is what people typically think of. I think this might be a Rock Penguin. There's a bunch of different species of Penguins. 😊

A very Bojack Horseman-style deck. The promotional material for this deck really did not make me think I would like it but seeing all the cards and hearing your thoughts has definitely piqued my interest! Also, peacocks can be empresses!!! But yes, the image specifically is of a peahen 😜 The gender neutral term was originally peafowl, but nowadays I hear a lot of people say peacock for both.

Guidebook: The Star is not an otter, it is a prairie dog, I changed it in the book to make it correct.🙂 Eight of Pentacles is definitely an otter though! I love this deck, it was super fun to see you enjoy it too!🙂❤️💜

OMG! Thank you for verifying this animal! It’s the only one that I couldn’t figure out… but funny thing is, in my mind, I kept seeing it standing up in field like a meerkat but I knew it wasn’t a meerkat! My intuition told me to watch this video and of course I love to read the comments and here’s the answer to the question that’s been boggling my brain lol. A prairie dog for the Star card. This deck is hilarious and made me laugh a lot! However, that whole photo not being even on the cards was really bothering me during the walk through. It made the photos look “wrongly situated” so the photo looked cut off on some of the cards. I though I could trim a bit off of the one side, but then I think the photos would seem even more off. Thoughts out there? I think I’ll wait and see if they correct this. 💜💜💜

I actually had “oh noes!” escape my lips when I saw this thumbnail ! I was curious myself to see your reaction.. a bit not sure what drove this choice! 😅. I dislike this deck .. a lot. The animals randomly placed on the bodies and how giant their heads to their body .. didn’t feel like a tarot but truly might work for a game 😂. I just can’t take this deck at all as a tarot. Can’t imagine using it .. then it cracks me to imagine it used for a client .. nope lol .. it’s so silly and just you forget the cards meaning .. I donno .. for me they are all from a Florida cola nock out drink or something like that. Reminds me of something from the 40s .. or 50s 😅

I don't own any decks by this creator or any anthropomorphic decks and when I first saw this deck I had an instant dislike to it. But I'm curious, so I watched this video. I loved the joy you found in it, but I won't be buying it. I really can't get past the production quality. Aside from uneven borders, the art being cut off and run off the edges isn't something I find creative. And I don't know if anyone else saw this, but most cards appear to have a dark smug or some kind of dint on the top and bottom edges. It's sad it has so many production problems. More people might buy it....maybe it will be corrected and reprinted.
