I HAVE NO ENEMIES, I got chills honestly 🥺🥺🥺 For an episode of mostly dialogue, this was such an amazing and grand episode of massive proportions. Thorfinn taking the 100 punches and then getting to meet Canute, was just perfect. The tension was at an all time high during the dialogue with Canute, and I love neither side backed down on their ideas. The world is a balance of these two extremes, one side where killing may bring Utopia and one side where peace brings Utopia. There is no easy way out or answer to this confrontation, and I look forward to its resolution immensely. Props to the staff and Studio MAPPA for such a masterfully executed episode.

​@@PurposelyGood Depends, I personally find the Sentai's dub of Thorfinn to fit his character better. At least, after I heard Netflix's version it's a bit too deep or "manly" so to say. But the real preference is up to you and the others reading this, I only particularly like the Sentai dub because it was the first I watched and I like some of the writing and voices better than the Netflix one.

There's a lot of reference to Christianity in the show. Thorfinn enjoys listening to Snake reading the Gospel, the priest in Season 1 having a positive effects on the war-hardened Vikings around him and being moved when he hears about Thors' actions, a recreation of Michaelangelo's Pieta in the second opening of Season 2... etc.

It depends on ones preference of course, I find it funny that people are clowning someone for thinking the dub is really good when in reality, the dub is really good. Recent dubs have become really high quality as of late, but it doesn't mean the Japanese version is bad, just means that english folk enjoy watching their favorite show more in english lol.

What's the importance of this scene and what did it come of the greatest one, I cannot even tell why it was the real reason around but this is sure, Thorfinn had grown up, although it's one of the best character development and even was a way for many people around to also grow up, if Thorfinn had stayed as the violent warrior he was he would have disappointed what Thors and Askeladd tried to teach him even being the both of them dead, they weren't looking a way to Thorfinn to grow as a person, those were people even with some virtues off as Askeladd (who even tried to put him off cause obviously he was the chief of a viking group) couldn't even say that he never felt worry cause of Thorfinn, was the quite opposite, Thorfinn even trying to kill him was never an upset nor a way for Askeladd to let him down, were scenes on Askeladd tried to put him down, but as a matter of fact was cause he felt guilty cause he knew that he created a monster to deal with, that's the reason his death turned powerful all over again if we go on backwards, cause he tried to save Thorfinn and even helped him when fought on Thorkell and also respected him as a warrior who never tried to kill him overslept, basically Thorfinn wouldn't have thought about, cause he doesn't fight on cowardice, he fights as a man, but even there's no honor on killing people who harmed you, Askeladd knew if Thorfinn stayed on it, would have been worse than the only warrior he respected and also Thorfinn's father wouldn't have wanted on his son and he'd have been responsible, that's why he told him to kill him without any honor in, cause why'd have been such as honor into. His death meant Thorfinn had grown up, first being empty, then got some fill on him, then he had planned to build Vinland as a peaceful land around for all people to live on. And promised accomplished, because Thorfinn's become a true warrior who doesn't need a sword nor kill people either.
