Look at the young people, stacked next to each other like a rock concert and all they want is knowledge , guidance and they are all there because they know they are hearing something special. The world wants to take out Peterson because he does good , when you are doing something really righteous and good the world does what it can to keep you from becoming who you are meant to be. God bless the world

Steven A - There are several: for instance, his historical perspectives are often way off; for another, his critiques of classical Marxism (and what he calls, “the Left”) verge on caricature - it’s painfully obvious that JP hasn’t seriously read any Marx. I’m no fan of Marxism, but if you’re going up against Old Karl, you had better do your homework first.

"There is a small minority of professors who are corrupt enought to punish you for a high-quality essay they don´t agree with. It is reprehensable, but it does not happen very often." Doesn´t it? JP might have been very lucky if this is what he has met at university.

At high school I did a writing that everybody agreed was going to be the winner of the local competition. My teacher decided not to send it because she didn't like the last sentence. It talked about God, and it gave meaning to the rest of the writing. She told me to change it and I refused, so she refused to send it. She was provably jealous that I was a better writer at 17 than she would even be. It was a very insignificant thing, but yeah, teachers like that exist. I'm a science teacher now, and I'm sure I'm 10 times a better teacher than she is.

People want to do better usually, they just can’t or don’t know how or have too many obstacles they don’t yet control. I think some agency is a good start.. know your mind, be in control of yourself, become articulate, acting thoughtfully in the world you become a force for good. Writing sharpens your mind. Reading exercises it. Speaking exposes both, your conviction and skill

@@Thomas-nc9fz Or you could thank the metaphysical foundation of reality so called God, for making google engineers being able to exist in the first place and for *maintaining* reality. Now I am not claiming any certainties necessarily, but, I do believe that if people do have this belief of God, and him existing, and him being the metaphysical foundation of reality, I believe that if people believe that then, they can thank THE LITERAL FOUNDATION OF REALITY for pretty much anything good, also in the caps thing I was not yelling I was just trying to point out something in the scenario where there is such a being as God. I never get what's up with people like you, "Thank God" is just a saying that pretty much everyone says, even atheists, so why in the ***k care and go like "WeLl wHy thAnK gOd WheN YoU cAN thAnK x", like...just leave the man alone, bloody hell lmao.

I disagree with what Mr. Peterson said about there being only a small percentage of professors who would condemn good work on the basis that they disagree with the premise. More and more university professors are taking on an anti-education, pro-indoctrination mindset. Disagree with them, and your grades will suffer.
@stevena33333 жыл бұрын
I felt this way too when I was taking an English class in a community college in NYC. The teacher forced us to read the New York Times without option, she forced us to attend lectures about Gay Rights and problems with Gentrification. But being a stubborn man and being in the 4th percentile of the personality trait “politeness”, I always wrote exactly how I felt. I was constantly worried she would fail me, but she grave me an A on all my papers. So in my experience, I think he’s right. Most teachers understand that even if they hate the way you think, they are grading you on your ability rather than your subject.
@brianyoung33 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. I'd like to think that what you say is not true because they are letting their opinion get in the way. It is not about a profs ego it is about teaching people to think. One of my wisest profs told me that there are no wrong answers only poor arguments. There's more than one solution to every problem. Some solutions are better than others. In the real world, you will run scenarios and weigh the pro's and con's of each to come up with the best solution for your situation. A person has to learn how to do that and you can't if you default to the profs opinion.
@stevena33333 жыл бұрын
@@brianyoung3 maybe you misunderstood me, I was saying that I found JBPs position to be true. Even a “far left” teacher graded my assignments fairly. I was just out of the military at the time after serving 8 years. I was very confrontational at the time, but I took the work seriously and tried my best to pass the classes without changing my views on the subjects. Though it is scary since everyone else in the class was fresh out of high school or just arrived from a foreign country and seemed to be going through a 1984 indoctrination rather than an English class lol.
@brianyoung33 жыл бұрын
@@stevena3333 This is weird. Steven A, this is the first time I read your response. I was responding to Devin. Maybe we were writing at the same time. At any rate, in my experience, college instructors were able to remain objective and grade people based on being able to craft a good argument and not on whether they parroted their own opinion. If Devin had a different experience, he was wronged.
