Jonas is getting served his own medicine... not working at the start of the tour and playing long tactics, its a bit funny to see him flicking elbows now asking for helkp to distance remco while not willing to assist at all in the first two weeks. Pogacar now in yelloww has absolutly nothing to work for, he cound have distanced jonas but then we would read greedy doped comments again, and he is the favorite for TT tommorow. Why would he pull Jonas while he needs seconds on remco and he can just worry for the stage win..

If Pogi decide to take stage win, It would be better if He do some work or attack early! He sitting behind Jonas for last 4.7km get benefit and spring on last 200m.

That's just great tactical work 'cause Jonas was trying to cement 2nd place.

It is his right to sit on, it's Jonas who benefits from gapping Remco, Pogi doesn't care about that

If you are in yellow you do not have to do anything just sit behind the guy who is 2nd. How long are you watching TdF?

@bokononisti28206 ай бұрын
Payback (from prior stage) is a bitch. But Carapaz gets the last laugh.
@paulevans64036 ай бұрын
Because Carapaz is a selfish and exploitive rider.
@flyingturtle45596 ай бұрын
Mateo inadvertently took the 1 point that still remained over that first KOM as he accelerated over that climb to join the breakaway ahead. If you follow the stage you'll see that he helped Carapaz bridge over to the breakaway where Carapaz would eventually score a total of 26 KOM pts over the next 3 summits and secure the polka dot jersey out of reach of Pogacar, 127 to 97.
@bokononisti28206 ай бұрын
@@paulevans6403Carapaz really screwed himself on Stage 20. If he worked with Mas, it could've been just the 2 of them competing for the stage win. Instead his selfishness beat out any tactical sense, and this allowed Jonas to catch them, with the Alien in tow.

Jonas looking for a pull from Tadej (twice!) within 30 seconds of his counterattack was pretty odd.
@mikkelline116 ай бұрын
I just think he was trying to feel out what his intentions were, if he would sit on or maybe even counter attack. To me it also looked like he was looking back to see Remco and how much he was dropping
@doncompton94536 ай бұрын
It would have worked if Vinegaad hadn't kicked it up. But he wanted to be way ahead of Remco going into the TT.

I didn't want to be that guy. But Tadej's final sprint, cold celebration and overall ease - are concerning.

Patrick always makes it seem like Carapaz does zero pulls and never works in the breaks (he’s no Kung but he’s no Valverde either)
@mikkelline116 ай бұрын
It's not so much that he never ever cooperates but he has a tendency to want to go on the attack and go solo when the other situation is more beneficial to him. In the past we have also seen him go so hard he simply implodes 😅

I don't know if Pogacar is clean but clearly the way he destroys even the second best rider easily every time is not particularly smart in terms of PR.
@mikkelline116 ай бұрын
Just stop, he is allowed to prove he is the best and Vingegaard clearly lacks some muscle mass which caused him a drop in performance the last few days. It was not okay when people were screaming doping at Jonas last year; and it isn't okay to Pogi this year either
@eduardoazeredo62506 ай бұрын
Well, that's no different from Vingegaard hammering 7 minutes on Pogacar in two stages last year. To which the Visma team CEO had to take a shot at the french teams to divert the attention.
@julienr.62546 ай бұрын
I'm not taking about right or wrong. I'm just making a case on the PR strategy. No matter what the truth is it's not the smartest thing to do. If he's clean, by going for all those individual stages so dominantly is only gonna raise suspicion among a part of the public and if he's not clean, then he should probably try the lower profile to keep his yellow jersey and not make people want to prove he's not clean.
