We can possibly all concur that Kenny has a very rare condition but if a few at a time can be eliminated it would surely give the man a little bit of hope that some of the larger ones done and he can see the difference. Even for a little while. 🎉

I think it's incredibly ignorant to assume she has no idea whether or not they are cancerous or not, if you had seen some of her other videos you would know she quite regularly uses a special tool to punch out a small sample and check under a microscope if it's cancerous or not. When she says complications she really does mean that the condition she is unfamiliar with could cause things to heal in an unpredictable way that could become unmanageable later on if it is left unsupervised.

@@jamiestewart48Hope you aren't taking about Canada. Yeah nice health care is free AMAZING HUH? WRONG.... What you don't say is all the countries getting free health care or had it all are going bankrupt or broke and guess what smart one? Guess who and what makes up for all else since Soo many in other countries like Canada get it. Cost of living is sky rocketing due to it number one you don't wanna mention that. Don't tell me you can afford it if can you obviously are some rich guy in the comments section or middle wage earner knowing nothing of the reality. Cost of food in restaurants go UP when workers get paid tons more money so food in fast food places sky rocket. Example any place like burger king and McDonald's used to be a buck or few bucks for a burger now try 10 plus dollars one burger. Same goes with free health care it's not really free. Why? Because insurances when don't have insurance won't cover meds. Vital other things get cut completely. Ciggs in Canada are well they used to be Seven or eight plus dollars a pack which is still a rip off and way more expensive then here the U.S. now in Canada ciggs are way beyond the price same with here in the United States with cost of living. People's rent like my parents place that they now pay around nine hundred a month for rent... Gasoline sky rocketed globally and moreso from the crap happening in political B's games and lies to the American and global public. Everything where you are at may be free health care wise though why not next time mention all else is a rip off and rising as they must balance cost. That's what you won't write down..

On the contrary, everyone goes out of their way to help (e.g. a person on a wheelchair) or to say something nice. They do that for the same reason you made that comment - to feel good about themselves.

What is so unfortunate is if it wasn't for the show this young man probably never would have got the help that he so desperately needed. Because the show pays for these procedures I don't imagine that they would be removing any more then what we're seeing on the show. I'm sure dr. Lee doesn't do pro-bono work unless it's for the benefit of her all access Channel. These procedures are far too expensive to do for free. I'd be very interested in finding out what removals the insurance companies are willing to pay for. My guess is if it's any type of benign tumour they won't pay for it. Although this gentleman did say that they were removing his chores but they were only willing to do it if you went under general anesthetic and he was frightened under the circumstances to have it done. Bless his heart he looks amazing with the ones removed from his face and those alone will make an amazing change in his life. If you happen to make it through this I'm really just thinking out loud or in text. LOL

@@dixierae3442 I get my thing is that these were not tumors and were cysts, Tumors tend to be masses whether soft or hard, but they are something that a doctor can normally take a biopsy of and send to pathology to confirm if it is benign or cancerous. He would need a medical doctor to sign off that some cysts limited his ability to function like the fact how do you contract your should blades when you have giant cysts that stop you from doing it? That they cause him pain and discomfort, per a doctor's notes, etc. This may not get treatment for all of them as an insurance company would likely find some to be cosmetic in nature only, but the major ones it would likely find to need to be treated and if not part of his rare condition then he would need to be diagnosed with ongoing and multiple cysts requiring ongoing care under a dermatologist who would make a determination on what needs to go and what he can live with. There are legit ways to get someone help with certain issues and health care advocates to work with. However, Dr. Lee's work has been excellent and her sutures have come out with little to no scarring on many people. She is very impressive in her sutures and closing areas which may have had stretched skin or have large divots to make look flat and healthy again while accounting for swelling after an outpatient procedure.

What an absolutely wonderful guy, and a truly deserved amazing transformation! Just a note though, they weren’t tumours, they were all cysts. So sad that no medical professionals had ever investigated this before, and had left him to deal with his condition on his own for many, many years, suffering from both the physical and emotional effects of having hundreds of untreated cysts all over his body. Well done Dr. Lee! Truly live changing work.

I think doctors haven't been able to investigate Gardner syndrome much because the syndrome is extremely rare. Vs. many cancers that get lots of funding and research because they're so common, such as different forms of breast cancer. The NIH said it's 1 in a million prevalence, which backs up what the documentary stated. The guy even stated that he basically informs doctors of what's going on. He also had trauma from a life-threatening surgery that kept him away from doctors. So, if there's a lack of patients, especially willing patients, the docs aren't going to be able to do research much. Even creating realistic computer models to test on would require input from actual patients. It's no one's fault, really. The guy inherited a terrible syndrome and does his best to cope with it, and the doctors do their best to handle it when they do see a patient, such as Dr. Lee. I hope in the future, there will be more push to investigate and more funding.

Yeah. It is ironic that he kept calling them tumors even after getting most of them removed and yet called himself more of an expert than the doctors he saw. I wonder if the doctors he saw correctly identified them as cysts but the patient insisted they were tumors so the patient was left thinking the doctors were too clueless to be trusted for any treatments. Maybe he trusted Dr. Pimple Popper more because of the show she was in and because of her charm.
@summer-c7i
@summer-c7i Жыл бұрын
@@IARRCSim It's probably habit and a part of his trauma -- maybe even his nickname or slang for them. He may have incorrectly assumed that the docs were clueless or maybe even a doc admitted that to him. However, this guy has had over 50 surgeries because of this syndrome. He lives with the syndrome. He's gonna know it. And being that this syndrome is very rare and has many different skin manifestations, it's likely some docs were, indeed, clueless, although maybe they could identify some of the bumps themselves. Again, doctors need patients to study. Dr. Lee even stated she wasn't sure about the different types of bumps he had until she got in there.
