I managed to get poison ivy in January from firewood that I cut that had poison ivy vines on it so I feel your pain

Just" discovered" you today. My comment is on the 1st video I watched on building stairs. My wife has mobility issues and stairs would be a lifesaver for us. Im 73 but your video explains the process in a manner that allows me to think I can do it myself! Will let you know. Bummer about the poison ivy. Hang. in there. Looking forward to viewing much more of your content. Thanks.

My son got poison ivy every year even in the winter. Jewel weed is the best remedy. Usually works overnight. It grows in wet ditches in the N.E. Bruise the leaves and put them on the affected skin, and wrap with gauze. For times when it’s out of season make a tea or tincture and freeze until needed.

Absolutely, I make a tincture so I got it in the winter months, don't ever think poison ivy is doormat in winter because it still can get you

I'm really glad to have found your channel and I look forward to watching future content! I have a little 2 acre, country, lot in Southeast Idaho. We have water shares and lots of potential. Many things you are doing on your property are of interest to me. Thank you! Good luck with healing from the poison ivy encounter.

I found poison ivy in my garden this year! Now I’m extra cautious studying how to get rid of them.

Jewel weed tincture for poison ivy (spritz it on affected area) or bentonite clay (make a paste) and apply it on affected area

Many years ago some forestry research was done on using clay to prevent the poison ivy oils from generating a rash. I just did a quick search and it looks like it was a modified clay called quaternium-18 bentonite. Hope this helps.
@elyssiap6 ай бұрын
So do you just put the clay on the initial outbreak spot as soon as you see it?

Sorry to hear you have poison-ivy. Strange thing for me is I have horrible hayfever yet i can pull poison ivy out with my bare hands and it never bothers me. I do want to say thank you for your video's as I am a beginner. I just put a contract on a small house on a 1/3rd of an acre and plan on a small garden. If all goes well I should be able to move in in 2 weeks. Get well soon.

Dude sorry to hear about poison ivy problems. It seems like your property is pretty steep incline I’m in search of property and in my price range am finding lots of hill terrain. I’m wondering if you could make a video about how you have dealt with it maybe talk about your experience. Just a suggestion thanks love the content. Get better soon

Yes your videos are relevant. KZbin commeents section is in poor condition. Threads are hard to follow and notifications are mosty non-existent. Just keep doing what you're doing. Do you have any other channels?

When we had that thing to were talking about my grandpa wood take the lead out of his gun, pound it out ,and make a hole in it so a string could be put in it. Then he would tye it around our neck. Back in time it really worked maybe it could help you no guarantees but who knows it may help you

Have you seen the videos about how to get rid of poison ivy that is on you already? The videos claim that, at minimum, you can dramatically reduce the effects if you do the right thing from the start. Also it's said that you can become less susceptible to its effects. Check out How to never have a serious poison ivy rash again. It would be interesting to see how it works for you next time you get it. I don't think it will have the same effect at the point you are now.
