Great video! Thanks man. You can (quite often) get usable lengths of lumber from construction sites. It saves them from having to pay someone to dump them.

100 stairs…..ok Mr. overachiever….. jk…. actually I am sure you had a need for this on your property…. I need 3-4 steps on my property but we are going to use your method and I am very thankful for your detailed and helpful video tutorial. Can we talk about the “containers” that you have at the bottom of the staircase (seen at the very end of your video)? I am just curious about them.

Many years ago, when I worked in the bedding industry, everyone getting rid of their waterbeds (which we weren't supposed to take by policy, but the salesman all made it part of the deal, and wooden bunkbeds. Not too many waterbeds left these days. I've got bookcases and benches and there was a kitchen table all built from those frames.

Rotenone is used to induce Parkinson's s disease symptoms in animal models. Are you sure making tea from that is safe, or is the rotenone only in the seeds? It's neurotoxic.

You just earned a new subscriber! I'm in the early stages of designing my home with a porch in Texas which will serve as a greenhouse in winter and shaded porch in summer. The home will be an 'h' shape, and I'd like to build modular walls to close off and make a 'b' in winter to be able to enjoy more time in the sun 'outdoors'. I haven't decided if I want to make permanent beds or use Vego beds over a concrete slab or gravel. Do you have any must do recommendations for me? I'm in a bit of uncharted territory
@WineberryHillКүн бұрын
Sounds like an awesome project! I think that especially early on having "modular" beds like vego will be a good way to go. This will allow you to do a few growing seasons without committing on final placement...etc.

You're doing brilliant job at home with all the projects and sharing all this with everyone on You Tube. I've also taken to using the fallen leaves from the neighbourhood for improving soil (I'm on alot of clay) on raised beds and compost/mulch. I often look to your channel for inspiration. Hope you have a fun winter.

How did you determine the space between the 2x6’s in the middle to make the actual steps?
@WineberryHill2 күн бұрын
I didn't follow a standard rise/run equation for these stairs. I laid it out based on what felt natural for my stride. The number will be different depending on the angle...in this case about 22" between risers. The angle of the hill will dictate the depth of the steps, I "start" by dividing the total run evenly. But then I "test walk" it to make sure it feels comfortable.

I have more of a question than a comment. Are the rabbits more of a food source than enjoyment. Can you tell me the benefits of rabbit meat compared to other meats. Thank you, new to your channel and enjoying and learning .
@WineberryHill3 күн бұрын
Hi Tony. Yep, great meat and epic fertilizer (and some fur). Rabbits are incredibly easy to keep, very prolific, did I mention excellent meat. They are easier (for me) to feed cheaply and possibly for free. I'm not able to free range my chickens, and so feeding my birds requires a certain amount of purchased feed.
