I have linear morphea, it's on my face. It appeared at the age of 7 and it has progressed from the top of my head (where I have an indented bald spot) down to underneath my jawline on the left side of my face. My chin is dented significantly because of it. I used to just say it's a birthmark. I've had good esteem so I thought until I met my husband. It wasn't until I met my husband that I stopped wearing make-up everyday to cover it up. He helped me feel beautiful in my own skin. ❤ it feels good to hear others talk about their experience. I never knew anyone else with it. It's been 28 years.

Hello Simran, as stated previously, I was also diagnosed with morphea. I would just like to share my thoughts with you. Not everyone considers psychosomatic causes for their illnesses. Though I am not a doctor, I am a healthcare professional. My thoughts are that you must consider emotional triggers such as unforgiveness, guilt, regret, or anything that can cause long term inner conflict. Such emotional unrest may cause physical manifestations, such as as morphea. So what I’ve been doing is trying to mend broken relationships with GOD and family. I’ve also made a point to search my heart for any malice, grudge, guilt or unforgiveness that need to be resolved. I hope this advice is helpful to you and to others.

Hello John, with no offence. As far as I know, the exact cause of autoimmune is unknown (thus the cause of morphea is also unknown). So, we can't say that it's surely due to the psychosomatic reasons. Atleast not in everyone's case because children at the age of 9 and 10 years they have morphea, I personally can't think of any reason at such age that can trigger morphea (if we think according to your saying). But yes, psychosomatic can definitely boost the rate of increase in your morphea/scares and even your internal body pain.

I have this and I got fat grafting done in October! I’ve had this since I was 5 and it’s been inactive since. Fat grafting was amazing, I plan on doing one more treatment and getting laser done for discoloration
