The last two months have been incredibly transformative for me and today I wanted to share some of my goals and ambitions for the future with you all.

The Domain is back with another Halo Infinite Mega Construx video!
Halo has partnered with Mattel to produce Mega Bloks / Mega Construx toys for over 15 years. This has spanned the release of Halo Wars, Halo Reach and Halo 4-Infinite. With this, they have produced thousands of toys and tens of thousands of pieces.
Mega Brands was formed back in 1967 out of Montreal, Canada. In 2009, they acquired the licence for Halo, originally branded it as "Halo Wars: the Authentic Collectors Series". Soon after, this was dropped to just "Halo Mega Bloks", before its third rebrand into "Halo Mega Construx", a more adult take on the licence. This lasted up until roughly 2021, with a final rebrand into simply "Halo Mega". What comes next for the brand? Only time will tell...
Halo Infinite was delayed from 2020 to 2021. In that time and after it has seen a multitude of issues and delays, but at the heart of this lies a true return to form and a gorgeous campaign. Halo Infinite Season 1 and 2 had a long extended life but Season 3 returned to the original promise of 3 month long seasons. With the return of Forge, Halo Infinite seemed to be in a largely completed form. Season 4 and 5 hit hard, with excellent releases of Firefight KOTH, Infection and dozens of quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, the seasonal format would come to an end with the Spirit of Fire update, dropping the formula all together to be replaced by operations. It's hard to say what the future holds for Halo, but you better believe I'll be along for the ride.

The cog in a machine saying is so real. So much effort is put into making real content, and theres barely any gain in subscribers or views, even if you are able to be monetized. I only have 2,000 watch hours, and I havent ever been close to making the monetary requirement. Its sad how low effort content such as memes (though they are funny) always end up bringing in the most views, and more watch hours and money. Sorry for the rant, but I wish you luck on your youtube journey Simon 🙏

Same with me, anything that’s not a stopmotion is always my most popular. It’s kinda sad that all of my time and effort goes into a stopmotion, then it gets like 100 views max. Sometimes even less than that. But when I post cutscenes, or other things like that, it’s gets really popular. And it’s kinda frustrating. I understand that completely. Good hunting yalo.

It seems people don't appreciate stop motion as much as other content. That, and it's not super consistent (unlike meme channels, where the viewer gets a constant and consistent dopamine rush). I barely make videos due to filling up my time with chores, Xbox, and other stuff during summer. I wish I could do more, but there is almost no hope of getting my channel monetized. I’ve been with this channel a few years now. I was here before I was the person I am today. The growth that this channel has experienced in these years is insane. I’m so happy to hear that you’re stopping something that was making your life worse, and I’m also happy that you’ve found a new purpose for this channel and your presence on the internet. The archiving of all this old Mega stuff is important, especially now when Mega seems to be in a bit of a rut. That along with you trying to make a one-stop market for one of my favorite hobbies makes me respect you even more than I already did. I’ll be sticking around for as long as you are, spartan. I wish the very best to Simon, Zee, all the customizers, and the collectors out there, and I hope we can help make this hobby stick around.

I’ve been watching you, Simon since your dioramas, particularly, the 1st version of the ONI bridge. And I’ve seen all of your travel blocks, your dioramas and all of your other kinds of content. And never have I ever regretted watching any second of it. You inspired me to resume collecting mega. And eventually create my YT channel. And I’m enjoying so much of it. 5:48 Honestly, I wholeheartedly agree with that opinion. I've been on this huge slump of creating my stop motions (although very shoddy) and it's so draining on the passion of your work, and the state of the mind. Do what you love. And if you have to, defend it.

You're absolutely right - people can feel when a video has real passion behind it. Chasing the algorithm with lots of short form 'content' can be really draining, and generally isn't worth it. Don't get me wrong, I've done the opposite and sometimes spent a month on a video only for it to underperform how I expected, and that's a sad feeling. But in the long run, I think those people that did watch it REALLY enjoyed it and appreciated the effort. And that's the important thing - they're not just numbers, they're all individual people. We all want our channels to be financially viable, and I really hope you can make that happen! But this all comes from the love and passion of this community and as long as that's the first and foremost thought going into each video, there will always be people watching and enjoying!

Ive been around since the ODST dioramas and im glad to see your still going. Being able to make a living by doing the thing you love is very difficult to do. You were the very person who inspired me to start collecting mega Block/construx figures again, Dioramas, the figures and even stop motion. With people now and by people I mean more younger teens or whoever don’t really watch too many longer videos it can be VERY DIFFICULT to keep up a view count or reputation. Halo is dying or some say it already is dead. I’ve NEVER given up and NEVER will give up on Halo and mega and I’m sure you can do the same. What I’m trying to say is, Thank You for everything you have done in the channel. I remember when I FIRST started my channel it was ALL and ONLY about mega and Halo. Why? It was because of you. You inspired me and I’m sure many others to start either making content about mega or to start collecting the figures and sets. I’m still doing it to this day after many years. My collection is nowhere near as large as yours and others but I’m still atleast trying to buy all the sets I can. You were the very person who made me start collecting again and doing stop motion. Again. Thank you for all of the memories on this channel. I can see that views compared to how many subs you have is..not normal but atleast know this. No matter how many viewers there are on any of your newer videos. The ones that actually still watch your videos like me still love your content and you as a person. We all love you and everything you have done on this channel. Please try not to let your channel end up like Reach…Dead. Much love to you and I wish you the best of luck continuing this channel ❤

Hi Simon, my son is 6 years old and you are his absolute hero. Thank you so much for all you do. We play your videos almost 24/7 (mostly listening since we limit screentime) and at this point you are an honorary family member-- your voice in always heard somewhere in our house. His favorite thing to do is take little Chinese Red Pockets and fill them with Halo figures then pretend they are blind bags and open them up in front of us as if he were you in a video. Your dioramas have really inspired him too and I can't really express what a blessing you are to us but thank you for not quiting.

Shorts don't work. Basically. They don't bring views to the main channel. They don't bring revenue to the creator. I think it's important to try and build communities within those spaces that don't quite have it within our circles. There's alot more mega lost media then I ever realized.
