Sarah, you ARE an amazing ambassador, and to everyone here you are OUR Miss Japan! Through these videos we get to see that your beauty has no boundaries, both inner and outer.. You did amazingly, the difference between the before and after video demonstrates just how well you perform when you apply yourself to something. The outfit, the makeup, your poses, were all excellent... And if I may say so, your legs amazing! It's a shame that they wont disclose the scoring criteria (there probably isn't much in the way of solid criteria in such a case), but they are the ones who lost out, not you!

I took the time to watch the entire live stream walking section. As a former ballet dancer when I was young, in my most objective opinion, you should have been top three, if not the winner of the walking competition. First of all, you had a great video short introduction. Second, you walked in line, arms did not swing too much, nor were too stiff, great poses, posture, and smile. It was overall executed with grace and professionalism. I have no idea how you were eliminated and I'm sorry for the lack of an explanation. You put in great work and I enjoyed this bts video very much just like all of your other videos.. Keep doing you and sharing your passions!

You ARE an ambassador Sarah. I started watching your video's for all the cool little izakaya, and niche spots you find. I miss traveling, and you helped me feed my dream of wanderlust after a major life transformation left me feeling stuck. I understand having high expectations, and the frustration of not always being able to meet them. I think regardless of how the pageant judges beauty, who you are naturally is someone who is beautiful inside and out. In watching your video's I've gotten a sense for just how hard you strive for yourself, and who and what you love. My favorite parts of this video are the dancing. The first model walk was like "how do I hooman?" *Bursts into dance* "oh yeah". The pageant doesn't get to judge true beauty like that. As someone who works too much...stay passionate, and find victories to celebrate. Don't let the score downplay the fact that you did this for yourself, and you made incredible gains doing so. That bicep flex! Dat booty! Much love from Colorado Sarah.

• I'm in the middle of the video right now, but I had to pause it and mention that your glasses look amazing on you! Those frames complement your features really well!! It reminds me that I need new glasses .. my current ones make me feel like Waldo, from "Where's Waldo". 🤣 • Honestly.. it looks impossible to stand in heels, let alone walk in them hahah. And a "runway" walk is extremely different from normal walking to begin with! I'm in awe of people who can do anything while wearing shoes like that. When I see pop stars dancing in heels, I'm like ..🤯 • Wow, so much preparation was involved! I'm glad you're sharing some behind-the-scenes insight; it's really interesting to see, and I can tell that you dedicated a lot of time and effort. Also, I think it's great that you're including this video on your main KZbin channel, because it opens the door for you to freely express yourself with your content in the future as well. I really appreciate the "ambassador" angle that you're approaching it with! • The lighting in this 2nd studio is really nice! >Make up✅ >Outfit✅ >Walk✅ In my mind while watching this: "Sarah is going to slay 🔥 WERKKKK 🙌" Also in my mind while watching this: "oh yeah, I remember that Instagram story about the judges..😒" **sigh** • Well.. despite the unqualified judges and their questionable scoring process, there's still a sense of accomplishment to be felt from this experience. In the end, you were more committed to the philosophy of the pageant than the pageant coordinators themselves. Therefore, I think your efforts outshined any score they could've given you. • You're awesome Sarah 😊👏

Noooo! Don't be shaming that oshiri hahaha! (I personally think the black one looks better. In a highly hypothetical scenario if we went out somewhere, I would choose that!). And yeah, it was not helpful that they never elaborated how they were picking and choosing candidates. That really seemed unfair, but then remember that anything to do with this kind of field is full of shenanigans and a lot of it lacks any form of objectivity whatsoever, hence why I personally would never want to go into anything related to these kind of things (I tried to get into acting in Hollywood a long time ago and was actually making my way there slowly but surely, but when started getting more familiar with it I was put off and decided not to do it).
@TokyoFoodieSarah3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that! I did think about the whole shenanigans thing, but because the walking battle was going to be live, I thought they would at least make it look more subtle... lol

Hi Sarah. Cool glasses look! I really mean it. I don't understand pageant scoring. I watched the part you were in, but that's about it. I thought it was strange that you had to walk in active wear and heels. Seems like an odd combination. Why not evening wear with heels. Actually, your outfit looked quite classy. Long time ago I worked on a pageant once. I worked as a sound engineer at a theater which was rented by a pageant company and the pageant was broadcast on television, so I had my name in the credits on TV. That's it. That's my pageant story. You are awesome! Good job! :)

I also thought it was weird that I had to wear active wear, but I think it’s because not everyone has an evening gown! Oh nice! Thanks for sharing the story 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed this little mini-doco/behind the scenes feature! I didn't care how long it was (truth be told, it flew by and I didn't even notice!), I thought it was witty 😅 At the same time though, I felt gutted that you didn't make it to the next phase of the competition 😢 Hopefully this is not the end of the road. You're a beautiful, physically fit young lady who is too good to be overlooked. Apologies for sounding like a damn Hallmark card, but I felt you deserve better 😅 Take care!

I thought that being such a great event the jury would be composed of people that know about that world, perhaps fashion designers and journalists, models, model agents, etc... You would have been a great contender in the finals, your model performance is mesmerizing. Now you have an excuse to coffee chat (or tea chat) with other Miss Japan winners or contenders and share your experiences in a video.

I think the judges were just sponsors of miss Japan which means that they were just office workers… Thanks for the comment! I did enjoy the experience nevertheless

Wow really!? You lost 8 points!? Clearly these Japanese men don't know the true beauty in their eyes! You're a 100 out of 10 in my eyes! I know it's tough to win a beauty contest and those Japanese women are also beautiful as well. But you have a great personality and I don't know why judges don't look at inner beauty in contest like this. Inner beauty is the most important part of a human's body. At least you tried. I'm happy that you got interviewed by Miss Japan. By the way, you look incredible in the leggings and heels outfit. Even if you didn't like wearing that, I still like it haha.
