It amazes me that bowling centers have never figured out how to get the ball returns OFF THE FIELD OF PLAY. Like having the goal post 10 yards in front of the end zone on one side of the field.

When you say "smoother" as far as a balls reaction are you implying it doesn't break as hard at the end? I'm trying to figure out what certain terms are that I'm always hearing Pro's mention that way I'm able to follow along a lot better. Especially when it comes to the decision of my next ball. I do have a couple new balls on the way to add to my collection. I have a Parallax Effect on the way and I just got a new spareball from Storm. The Ice from Storm. Also what do you mean when you say the ball has a weak coverstock?

Smoother means that it reads the friction a little more evenly down the lane and doesn't "snap" as much as just roll.

Saying a ball is smoother is referencing its reaction at the breakpoint, yes. Smoother balls will be less angular at the breakpoint, making its change in direction slower and more drawn out. Strong or weak in terms of coverstock refers to how early or late the cover will grab the lane, especially through oil. Generally, solid covers are stronger than hybrids, which are in turn stronger than pearls.

@@Brian_B300 well I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt considering he's one of the top 50 bowlers probably on the planet. I used to see the Gold IQ in leagues, but not anymore. I personally have used a new HyRoad Pearl for most of 2021 in leagues and tournaments. Shot 686 last week while still missing the 10 pin 3 times LOL. Storm for LIFE!
