Yo, i had a similar issue so i decided to use the normal movement (WASD) and also V for left and B for right, by making that i can move freely while freebuilding and still have a goos movement while peeking or moving in endgames for example (using a and d)

This reminds me of how protoss players in sc1 used to change their keybinds for hotkeys to 0,9, and 8, since most of their buildings were on that side, which i think is really interesting how pros can adapt to different keybinds

Nice! But could you try to switch to thumbstick? I use the MaxxStick S3 Pro and it really helped me getting better at the game. I have benn using this now for like about 3 months and I’m already starting to see improvement. The reason this is so good is because you need only ONE finger for your movement. This is even better, because your thumb is the finger that actually does the least. I can send you my keybinds if you want to, cause I think they’re one of the most efficient keybinds ever (I‘ve cooked a lot). If you made it this far, it means that you’re interested, so please don’t ignore me 🥺.

I've been playing Fortnite for 6 years. Edit is still G. Use/pick up is still E. Backpack is still Alt. Inventory is still 1-6. Builds are still F1-F5 (I always use mouse thumb buttons and never use cones).

I use alt to edit but I press it with my thumb I use my middle finger for W and weapon slots and I use my ring and pinkie finger for my building (Q floor, TAB cone, CAPS wall ) and crouch bind (SHIFT) AND 5th weapon slot (CTRL) , then my stair button is mouse button 5 and my weapon slot 4 is mouse button 4 (the rest are 1,2,3 ) and middle mouse button is inventory and G is map bind. Finally, I use scroll wheel down to ping. I don’t think keybinds get any weirder than mine
