Yes, unless you have a degree in music... I'm here listening and trying to find out our which 16th/32nd/64th/128th note is on the down-beat at any given point in time. This would be HELL to actually perform. It sounds awesome, but if someone was asked to actually perform this on a real instrument their mind would melt.

A Polymeter is 2 or more different time signatures being played at once, like a melody in 3/4 being played at the same time as a melody in 4/4. While a polyrhythm is 2 different amounts of notes are being played at once, like 5 evenly spaced piano notes and 3 (also evenly spaced) piano notes being played in 2 seconds@@PunishedDad

@@RJ1J Yeah, that element of the track is pretty cool. It sounds like it's reaching a drop, and then keeps on morphing and evolving to the next one. Really wanna here a finished version, though, where moments like that actually stick - that would be really cool!

In music theory, polyrythms are two or more different rhythms layered over one another. The point is that they start together, make interesting and cool sounding rhythms in the middle, and finally close with a synced up hit.

The drums cement it into one rhythm, the polyrhythm sounds like an arp, and it’s not really processed like a polyrhythm is to my brain. Not to mention the sub bass and wubs. It’s really only half polyrhythm if you ask me
@bardsamok9221
@bardsamok9221 Жыл бұрын
@@supersolomob422Kind of agree but the whole point of polyrhythms is multiple rhythms interacting (and that includes non-4 4 type arp material interacting with 4 4), otherwise they're just rhythms. But yeah, agree more diversions off the basic 4 4 kick bass snare program would be good as it has a heavy presence in the mix and doesn't accentuate the more intricate nuances in the melodic material.
