How wonderful. Actually quite emotional to watch including the silver chord procession at the end and I am sure some tears will have been shed for the family watching this. The music was soothing and added to the atmosphere. Khun Teya has a warm heart. In my time working and living in Thailand I was always around temples and although I was aware of Sanskrit being used I have learnt something today as this time as Pali language (Theravada Buddhism). I am sure Carol in spirit appreciated this too.

This was beautiful and amazing.... and absolutely breathtaking. My mother I know is proud. This ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Carol is my mother, and I feel so blessed to have watched this happen. Thank you so much Teya, you have done an amazing thing for my mother Carol, and our entire family. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful blessings. Our mother is in a Beautiful place, and the way you celebrated her life and her beauty really moved us all, you didn’t know her, none of you did, and yet you performed this beautiful ceremony for her and us. Mom loved Thailand when she traveled there, I know she was right there with you guys at this ceremony feeling the peace and light, and so so loved. Thank you, for all that you are and all that you do!

I’m sorry you lost your Mum, your Mum looked very young and beautiful. What a beautiful and joyous celebration of her life, by Teya and her family and the Monks. It’s very hard when you lose your Mum, 25yrs later I still feel my Mum when she pops in, as I usually smell her perfume, and I say hello to her then, and have a chat. I saw her about 8 weeks after she died, leaning down from my ceiling, she was smiling it was during the day, I found it very comforting, she also came to me in my dreams regularly for about 15yrs afterwards. I hope you can feel her around you. I know it’s not the same, and the grief is hard especially the first year, sending you and your family love. ❤️🌻🌻

Greetings Teya. My name is Hilary and I am one of Carol's six children. It is difficult to put into words just how much this ceremony means to us and it is certainly a testament to how truly special Thai culture is. My mother often spoke of her travels and her trip to Thailand was one of her favorites. Mom was a very friendly, peaceful person, so it makes sense why she was so drawn to the people and culture of Thailand. She would be so honored at this incredible tribute to her life and her passing. I'm so glad her partner of 20 years reached out to you to organize this on her behalf. I know you didn't know my mom, but you would have loved her, and you would have been friends in an instant. Thank you so much. 🥰

I have followed your vblog Teya for a long time and and I hardly comment.Today I feel it is the right thing to do. You set the standards for humanity and compassion ..to bring closure and a beautiful end...and a well scripted and a moving narration. Along the journey you have let the world know the beautiful ways of the Thai people..despite your country's hardship..there is still room in you...your mother's and auntie's hearts to share the grief of a stranger who wanted Carol to go to Thailand one last time. May you and your family be blessed. Mong from Malaysia.

My friends ask, many times, why I go to Thailand so often, and not new places. I think one of the reasons is that there is so much for me to still learn about this place. You teach me so much Kru Teya. Another reason I keep going back is the people. I am sure when your family saw you do this they looked with pride and wonder at how the seed they planted has grown. I hope Carol's journey continues with the beauty and love that started it, and wish peace and comfort to her family who can no longer share it.

Wow that was so beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. How lucky Carol was to be celebrated like that, a beautiful thing to do for a life partner. Beautifully filmed and edited. I cared for my own Mother 25yrs ago when I was 30 so that she was able to die in her own bed. I massaged her feet afterwards and I later learned it was a Buddhist custom in Tibet to help the soul release from her body, which I could tell when she did. That was a beautiful ceremony Teya thank you, I am sure that Carol’s family loved it as I am sure she would have. Amazing thing to do for somebody.

From the UK Thank you Teya for this video, I have been privileged to be present at the second part of the funeral service at ninety days. The two parts are so similar. It is a service showing sincere good wishes for the persons travel to the next world. One never knows where they might be but I could in Thailand when I might witness this ceremony, everyone must understand that if this was a loved one of a Thai person more personal grief would be by the family would be seen. I have received photos recently following a cremation of a friends father of how the family collect a few remains of the deceased person for as I say the second ceremony. Sawadee krap
